7 Years By Lukas Graham Analysis

There is an unseen power behind words and the written language. The way they dance on the tongue and lace itself around the minds of others, almost as though the words tattoo themselves on the skin of every individual. As the generations grow older, the lessons given become bolder and hold a greater imprint on those impacted. Leah Guest’s rewrite of 7 years, originally done by Lukas Graham, reflects on the impact of words and the lessons that surround a person. Time is constantly fleeting with a new lesson each day, and most of the time it is quickly forgotten. There are things in everyone’s life that will not only burn brightly in one’s heart, but can be just as likely smothered out. The memories and lessons that are taken now only set up the hopes and dreams for the future …show more content…
Words that once echoed in the minds of children will soon fade away as the last breath kisses one’s lips. “It’s never too late to love, to reach or care for each other.” There is not much time to waste, rather than spending one’s time on being emotionless and unsympathetic towards others. One can choose to always show compassion. Leah reveals, “I'll watch a generation rise up to change the nation, the past lays down foundations for the future celebrations.” Everything that is learned since one’s childhood is what teaches future generations. If people are not given the love and support, it makes that bright future seem even more impossible. “And in a hopeless world, I've always kept believing, I've always kept on breathing, always kept achieving. Despite the sticks and stones, I will not be defeated.” Life will always try to tear one down despite the odds. No matter how compassionate one is, or how much they learn from this life. The strength is shown through the determination to stand against all the possibilities. And hold on to that little kid who was always told to be the kindest that they could

A 1996 review of the evidence, summarized in this paper, indicated that competitor-oriented objectives reduce profitability. However, we found that this evidence has been ignored by managers. We then describe evidence from 12 new studies, one of which is introduced in this paper. This evidence supports the conclusion that competitor-oriented objectives are harmful, especially when managers receive information about market shares of competitors. Unfortunately, we expect that many firms will continue to use competitor-oriented objectives to the detriment of their profitability. Key words: competition, market share, objectives, profitability. JEL CLASSIFICATION: L21, M21, M31. 2 Many managers have a natural inclination to want to beat their competitors. Our concern in this paper is the relationship between competitor orientation and performance. We show that competitor-oriented...

The purposes of this paper are (a) to describe how the open-ended knowledge construction and communication tools TEE (The Electronic Exercise) and EF-editor (Exercise Format Editor) can serve socialconstructive language learning from a distributed cognition point of view, (b) to report how TEE and EF-editor have been used in a foreign language classroom with 25 seventh grade students for creating a Web-based tourist guide to London, and (c) to present the results of an evaluative study investigating the benefits and constraints the teacher and students experienced through this learning scenario. Finally, these results are discussed with regard to the heuristic value of distributed cognition for technology-enhanced social-constructive learning-scenarios. (Keywords: Distributed cognition, multimedia tool, social-constructive language learning, multimedia literacy.) INTRODUCTION Foreign language learning is crucial to students’ academic and personal education. The French cinema comprises the art of film and creative movies made within the nation of France or by French filmmakers abroad. France is the birthplace of cinema and was responsible for many of its significant contributions to the art form and the film-making process itself.[3] Several important cinematic movements, including the Nouvelle Vague, began in the country. It is noted for having a particularly strong film industry, due in part to protections afforded by the French government.[3] Apart from its strong and innovative film tradition, France has also been a gathering spot for artists from across Europe and the world. For this reason, French cinema is sometimes intertwined with the cinema of foreign nations. Generally, those journalists do a competent job of reporting on the prospect’s record. In the case of Governor George W. Bush, Texas reporters had written numerous stories about his failed businesses in the oil patch, the dubious land grab and questionable funding behind a new stadium for Bush’s baseball team, the Texas Rangers, and his various political contradictions and hypocrisies while serving in Austin. I was one of those Texas journalists. I spent about a decade...
