Created from our most skilled artisans, we have such beautiful jewelry. It’s in the form of bracelets, necklaces, and earrings for the kids. This kind of jewelry could make anyone of you feel like a pharaoh. It’s hand crafted and made with with diamonds that just glisten so! Some people have passed out in the sight of it! Also if you want, we can make different types of jewelry made out of many other resources. Even silver if you wanted! Maybe even gold! And in this area we have cloth that looks so beautiful and is so smooth it’s fit for a king! I’m sure that even your very own egyptian pharaoh would be satisfied with our silk robes. …show more content…
Not only do we have goods like these that appeal to the eye, we also have goods that appeal the other senses! We have perfume that many rich nobleman and ladies travel all the way here just to buy! And we’re totally not hiding a really secret product that is a different type of perfume that hide from you throughout the commercial and then reveal to you at the end! (Bad poker face.) We also have pottery made from tough clay, forged with intense flames, with a layer bronze with paint, painted by only the finest of artists we have here in Kush. You could leave water here in this pottery vase for weeks and it wouldn’t leak out in the slightest. (Well except for that type of sorcery where water disappears and goes up to the sky. I think they call that black magic, “evaporation”.) If you’re still having doubts about buying our merchandise, I am bound to tell you about “the secret”. Our artisans tried many times, and throughout many back breaking weeks, we’ve perfected

It may be helpful to discuss what they can expect or to have other students relay their own experiences about theatre productions they have seen. Another important point to review is the difference between live theatre and watching a movie or television. Noise Live theatre means live actors who can hear not only what is happening on the stage, but in the audience as well. While laughter and applause at appropriate times are appreciated by the actors, excessive noise and talking is not. Any sort of distracting noise—humming, sighing, chewing gum, or carrying electronic devices—is discouraged. Cell phones, chiming watches and pagers must be turned off during the performance . Comparison Plays/Poems

..." there is a constant attitude towards women and themes such as violence, possession and patriarchal society are present. However these all differ in nature and theme despite the resounding attitude towards women. THCM is written in 17th Century and the poem depicts a man's urges to will a woman into bed with him. The poem has a light tone and humorous aspects throughout. In contrast MLD which is written in 19th Century has a much darker and menacing tone; it is about a controlling Duke and his previous duchess and unravels the dark story behind them. PL is a Victorian poem, the poem is gothic, crude and perverted in parrts with a man's strange insane intentions. However all these poems are linked by the idea of the male possessing and controlling a woman. H on the other hand is a woman's interpretation of a 19th century fictional character and how this character is left with feelings of violent hatred after being let down in marriage by her fiancé who has wed her to gain some of her riches. The theme of the poem is violent and confrontation but does compare and contrast with PL with the gothic nature. These four dramatic monologues do vary in storyline and tone however he same themes are made apparent in all of them and is what gives these poems a link and comparisons. Desire, death, domination and obsession as well as the balance of control between men and women over the past four hundred years are all explores. In Shakespeare's play "Much Ado about Nothing" we are also resented...

Literary Devices

...Literary Devices and Terms Literary devices are specific language techniques which writers use to create text that is clear, interesting, and memorable. Alliteration - repeated consonant sound at the beginning of words or within words; used to establish mood and rhythm in a story; true alliteration has three words beginning with the same sound (two words beginning with the same sound would be called alliterative) Examples: bucking bronco; miserable morning; Bed, Bath, and Beyond Allusion - a reference in one story to a well-known character or event from another story, history, or place Examples: the rise of the baseball team from last place to first was a real Cinderella story; at times teachers need the wisdom of Solomon to make decisions Ambiguity - when a single event or expression can mean two different things to two different people Example: When it is announced that another baby is on the way, Father remarks, “That could create some problems.” He means problems with money, but his young son thinks, “You’re right, dad! I don’t want to share my room and toys with anybody!” Analogy - comparing one thing to another very different thing in order to explain it better Examples: a school is like a garden, where children are lovingly raised and cared for; the rabbit shot from its hole like a rocket; the confetti fell like snow in a blizzard as the parade passed through the city streets (these three analogies are all written as similes) Aphorism - a brief...

Independent Film Producers

...Independent Film Producers Name Institution Independent Film Producers An independent film refers to film production that results in a feature film which is majorly or completely produced outside the main film studio system (O’Meara, 2014). Besides being produced and disseminated by independent theatre companies, independent films are also distributed and produced by firms of major film studios. These independent films are commonly distinguishable by their style and content as well as the way the personal artistic vision of the filmmaker is realized (O’Meara, 2014). Generally, independent films are produced with considerably lesser film budgets compared to major studio films. Also, the marketing of these films is usually marked by limited release, though they can also have major promoting campaigns as well as wide release. They are usually screened at international, national, or local film festivals before being distributed (O’Meara, 2014). This paper presents a biographical essay of three independent film producers; Woody Allen, Wes Anderson, and Noah Baumbach Woody Allen Woody Allen is an American writer, playwright, comedian, actor, and director. He was born in 1935 in the Bronx (Girgus, 2002). However, he was raised in Brooklyn, a town in New York. Allen was the son of Nettie, a book keeper, and Martin Konigsberg, a waiter and a jewelry engraver. He had a sister named Letty and was born in 1943. Allen’s family was Ashkenazi Jewish. .Allen’s childhood was not for the...

The other pilgrims narrate most of the tales. POINT OF VIEW · In the General Prologue, the narrator speaks in the first person, describing each of the pilgrims as they appeared to him. Though narrated by different pilgrims, each of the tales is told from an omniscient third-person point of view, providing the reader with the thoughts as well as actions of the characters. TONE · The Canterbury Tales incorporates an impressive range of attitudes toward life and literature. The tales are by turns satirical, elevated, pious, earthy, bawdy, and comical.
