For me, AVID was fun, helpful, beneficial, and exciting. I learned many things in AVID such as the proper way to take notes, how to be more organized, more about college, more about my peers, and how to keep up with my grades. This helped me alot because I will use this knowledge from now on. But AVID also help me academically because we did TRF’s that help me with confusion, grade checks, and binder checks. Binder checks helped me be more organized instead of having papers from different class mixed up. Grade checks help me stay on top of my grades, and check powerschool at least 4 times a week.

AVID was fun for me because we took trips, had parties, did activities on most fridays, and did work that was fun instead of complicated. The trip we took to Camp Manitoqua was fun because we did team building activities but, had fun while doing it. When we did the “campfire” in class on fridays or, the activity when we went around and answered the question, then ate our marshmallow or poptart, helped us learn more about each other. The college tours can help us decide what college we want to go to , or if we want to go to college at all. It also give us a variety of things we can do and experience. If you work hard enough, you can get the AVID scholarship which will help you and your family tremendously. AVID is beneficial in many other ways too. I now know how to write notes properly, do a TRF, what college I will like to attend, and what my future career will be. Without AVID, I would have had a difficult time doing almost all of this.
