Boggs and Arnold (2011) state, “The majority of person-to-person communication is nonverbal”. The way we use our posture speaks volumes about our thoughts. Through communication, we are can advance our professional careers. As a group, we are providing examples of how we have used communication for advancement. Each of our four group members shared how they believe communication has helped them personally and professionally. Most of us have used electronic charting and believe it has helped us in the written form of communication to interact with increased professional wording and conversation. With grammar and spell check links available, our words are aligned with correct grammar and spelling. Another example of using writing as a tool for communication is writing business case documents to procure additional staffing or needed office equipment, by writing requests to send to the strategic planning board.
