Nowadays, people are really in to technology no matter how expensive a newly-released gadget is, they still manage to buy something than can satisfy their wants. We cannot blame them, technology has really improved today and having your own gadget will make you feel that you really belong to this generation.
Having our own thing for the fast-changing technology, we are delighted to say that like a normal gadget, our invention has its own advantages and disadvantages. As you know, we will provide a portable light in a bag that won’t need any socket to light up. The wires that we used won’t heat up easily that can cause fire. In that case, we assure you that our invention is safe, yet there are still circumstances that may occur. Our invention will be a big help to you especially when you are a person who usually carry necessary things for work, school, etc., because the base material is said to be a bag. Its light can enlighten your way if you are walking on a sidewalk without any street lamp at night which will make the motorists be aware and may prevent such accidents. The primary concern in the invention is durability. It matters on the design you’ll be using. If the design you ought to make requires a lot of flexing the wires, then that would be a little hitch on how durable the EL Wires can be. Furthermore, this won’t be washable. The wire itself is water resistant, and can withstand small amount of rain or some han-washing, but if it is fully immersed, the ends of the wire are vulnerable to having moisture leak inside an damaging the phosphor which is needed for the light purposes of the wire.
Since this invention will only require few materials, this won’t cost a lot of money and making this won’t take much of your time because it is that easy to make and very convenient to do. Making your own gadget would be very rare but, here it is. This will prove you that not all gadgets are only to be bought but, you can also do it on your own and make business out of it. Everyone can do this, even children. You just have to follow such simple instructions in order to make your own right.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Technology

...Advantages and Disadvantages of Advanced Technology By Jin Sun K., Wellesley, MA Email me when Jin S. contributes work Today, we can’t imagine ourselves without technological advances such as cars, microwaves, cell phones, computers, and televisions. However, technology won’t stop here, but develop further. As technology develops, there are not only advantages, but disadvantages from them. A few advantages of upgraded technology are that one can save time and money and life will be made easier as a result of not having to do all the hard labor. In contrast, the disadvantages of upgraded technology are that people will loose their jobs to machines that will do the work for them. In addition, machines and robots are too complex for most people to use. I personally would want a developed world with advanced technologies. The following are the reasons why I do want a more advanced world with advanced technologies. My major reason is because when you have advanced technologies, life is much easier as robots and machines would take over your daily life chores. For example, daily life chores might be serving your breakfast, cutting your lawn, or cleaning your room. With robots and machines doing one’s chores one has time to relax. Another reason is because unlike humans, robots and machines do not make mistakes when programmed correctly. They always accomplish tasks perfectly so you won’t have to worry about making a mistake and getting trouble. Other reasons why I want advanced...

Technology: Advantage or Hindrance

...Technology: Assistance or Hindrance I picked my 11 year old from the first day of 6th grade. When I was going through his backpack to sign all the papers that was sent home, I noticed an IPAD in it. I know my son does not have an IPAD, so I asked him about it. He told me the IPAD was issued to him by his teacher for all of his e-textbooks. What happened to lugging around a backpack full of huge textbooks? From smart boards, IPADs, wireless internet, and many other high tech gadgets that our public schools have, technology has changed dramatically since I graduated in May of 1998. I believe the exponential growth in technology in education is causing our students to be more distracted during class, causing school budgets to be overwhelmed, and it is causing students to loose traditional skills. First, technology in education is causing our students to be more distracted in class. Technology creates a need to multitask. Studies have shown that multitasking when learning something new or working on a project distracts from complete learning. (Study Dog, 2012) When students are using their cellphones, IPADs, or laptops in class, are they actually using them for note taking, researching topics, or other educational activities? According to a report conducted by the Chronicle of Higher Education indicates that students taking laptops to classrooms might appear to be taking notes, but actually were doing activities unrelated to class work such as sending emails or using the...

Technology Advantage and Disadvantage

...Advantages and disadvantages of technology. In the last century many people did things by hand but nowadays more and more tasks have become automated. For example, many people have washing machines, clothes driers and dishwashers, so the amount of energy needed to wash and dry clothes and wash dishes is greatly reduced. As technology progresses, more and more of these tasks will be automatic, for example, vacuum cleaning or cutting the grass. In addition to this, improvements in technology have given us 24-hour a day entertainment from digital TV to video games. This means that there are fewer tasks to do, more time to do nothing and more opportunities to sit around and be entertained without moving very much. As we can see, there are both advantages and disadvantages to this. I will deal with the advantages firstly. I think, there are at least two positive effects of this. First of all, we don't need to do repetitive and uninteresting job like washing-up and this gives us more time to do other things. What we do with this time depends upon the individual. Secondly, for people, who are less able to do these jobs, like elderly or disabled people, these machines are a great help. Future developments may be able to help them even more. I think, this is the most positive side of technology. Now I will look at the disadvantages. As I mentioned, it is up to the individual what they do with this extra time. Unfortunately, instead of doing everyday tasks people tend to watch television...

Technology Development and Competitive Advantage

...Technology Development and Competitive Advantage: Sustainable or Short Term? By John O. Marsden Phelps Dodge Mining Company, Phoenix, AZ Technology development has played a crucial role in the minerals industry throughout history. The development of new technology allows mankind to produce metals and minerals at progressively lower cost of production in real terms, and therefore at progressively lower prices, improving their availability, accessibility and utilization worldwide. However, the developers of such technology are not guaranteed to reap the benefits from this effort: There is an expectation that technology developers will gain an advantage over their competitors. Is this a short-term benefit that results from a temporary cost or efficiency improvement, or is it a sustainable longer term “edge” that prevails even after metal or mineral price has been eroded by the implementation of a major step change technology? This issue is examined by reference to several case study examples in the copper industry. modity producers to gain a cost advantage over their competitors, at least for a period of time. The more sustainable and longer term, the greater the competitive edge achieved. Technology development is costly and, in general, the greater the potential benefit, the higher the cost. The commercial implementation of new technology is inherently risky — the technology has not been applied before and must be proven over time. The risk must be managed, and this involves additional...

I've discussed to members of the group to choose this topic, because it happened in every country and it is easy to be described and presented. In every country have associations and clubs for blood donation. Blood is very important to the human body because blood carries oxygen to every limbs of the human body to provide energy to work or do anything. My friends and I was explained the meaning of blood and describes about blood donation. When I was doing a research on blood donation activities, I can conclude that in every country, these activities have received less attention because people assume the blood donation is an activity which is a waste of time and they are too busy with their daily activities. By doing a presentation, I can understand the actual meaning of the matter it was the blood donation. As a result, I was able to deepen knowledge about the outside world. I have made a report about blood donation. I found in any public or private hospital has inadequate blood supply. Advantages and Disadvantages of Modern Technologies

...Economic History of Hong Kong Hong Kong’s economic and political history has been primarily determined by its geographical location.  The territory of Hong Kong is comprised of two main islands (Hong Kong Island and Lantau Island) and a mainland hinterland. It thus forms a natural geographic port for Guangdong province in Southeast China. In a sense, there is considerable continuity in Hong Kong’s position in the international economy since its origins were as a commercial entrepot for China’s regional and global trade, and this is still a role it plays today.  From a relatively unpopulated territory at the beginning of the nineteenth century, Hong Kong grew to become one of the most important international financial centers in the world.  Hong Kong also underwent a rapid and successful process of industrialization from the 1950s that captured the imagination of economists and historians in the 1980s and 1990s.  Hong Kong from 1842 to 1949 After being ceded by China to the British under the Treaty of Nanking in 1842, the colony of Hong Kong quickly became a regional center for financial and commercial services based particularly around the Hongkong and Shanghai Bank and merchant companies such as Jardine Matheson.  In 1841 there were only 7500 Chinese inhabitants of Hong Kong and a handful of foreigners, but by 1859 the Chinese community was over 85,000 supplemented by about 1600 foreigners. The economy was closely linked to commercial activity, dominated by shipping, banking...

Incremental Innovation in Technology, Advantages and Disadvantages.

...Innovation in Technology, Advantages and Disadvantages. Introduction: The objective of this paper is to examine the techniques related to incremental technological innovation in light of its advantages and disadvantages. Many studies focus on techniques of speeding up the cycle of product design. However, the fastest and most effective way to speed up the introduction of a product is to execute an incremental improvement – to an existing produce - that could serve a new and particular need. On the other side of the spectrum, there is what is called the megaproject. A project that starts out with over-the-top ambitious objectives, it requires almost extraordinary effort to accomplish, it demands enormous financial budgets, it typically runs over time and misses many deadlines, and at the end, few examples make a splash and many are written as “tax deductions”. While these heroic projects make good news stories, they do not always make money. They can fail very dramatically and expensively. Since these failures do not make such good new stories, we hear less about them, and overestimate the success rate of megaprojects. We underestimate the importance and value of incremental programs and mislead ourselves about the true risk of the megaproject. We need to look more carefully at these two approaches. Therefore, the opinion expressed here is that the incremental innovators are in fact the unsung heroes of product development. In examining the advantages of incremental...

Companies Today Are Using Technology to Change Their Industry and Achieve Competitive Advantage

...The industry I have chosen is that of professional rugby, and the company I will be discussing is Munster Rugby and how they are using new technologies to gain an advantage over other companies. I have personal experience with the company over several seasons from the season 2011/12-2014/15. The technology is the GPS system (1.Catapult Sports, 2015) each player uses. Before it was simply used to calculate your total distance covered but due to advancements in the technology it has become vastly more important and provides greater influence. Today the GPS systems each player wears, will calculate not just distance, but will also record top speeds in metres per second, as well as provide a breakdown of what distances was covered at top speed. This data then enables coaches a very beneficial analysis tool as they can see what players are their work, slacking off, or going over and beyond their duty. Another addition of the updates GPS systems is that they include a gyroscope, accelerometer. Which together, they both combine and take into account the total impacts ( tackle, carry, ruck ) and the force/intensity of each impact that each player endures throughout the game. With these stats now readily available Munster Rugby are making great progress for strength and conditioning, but more importantly for injury management. The S&C staff have a training plan for each session, as it is their job to make sure each athlete is in pristine condition to perform on match day. The GPS...
