Alcohol is what we commonly use to have a good time. You can buy it straight from the store. The only catch is that there is a limit to this good time; you must be at least 21 and over to get your hands on it. As most of us know that hasn’t stop many people under the age limit from getting it. One way of doing this would be having someone of age to buy a bottle of alcohol for them or the famous way of getting a fake ID. What people need to know is that alcohol is a depressant. Alcohol can slow down the function of your nervous system, changing a person perception, emotions, movement, vision, and hearing. To me this doesn’t sound very pleasing, and to most people it wouldn’t.
Most reasons people tend to drink liquor is to give them that vibe they are looking for. That sometimes a mellow feeling at the beginning of your party with one to two drinks, but that one drink can lead to that over the limit feeling or falling over and becoming extremely sick. One fact about alcohol is that it can cause intoxication. Intoxication can lead to vomiting. Vomiting is not a good feeling to have when it is actually happening but to others it’s a sign of showing that you had a good time but now your night is over, and it’s time to get yourself home or too a safe destination.
In an advertisement sponsored by the Stop Drinking Association, entitled “alcohol can end your party”, they have a picture of a woman who vomits out the decorative items of a party. The ad, give us a nauseating feeling, conveying the nauseating effect of alcohol on our

health. The woman has a party hat, nice brown attire with sandals to match, something another lady might wear to look a little attractive but not too provocative at a party. Looking at this ad, you can say there was party going on hosted by her, or possibly hosted by someone else, either way there is alcohol involved, decorations, music, dancing, and shouting going on at this once known to be a party. Bided over, and holding on to the wall for support, you can she has had enough to drink. I would say that she hadn’t been very responsible and didn’t know her limits to drinking, whether she was of age to drink or not. Furniture is in the background, including a dresser, table, and a picture. This could describe a possible house party. At a party that is located at someone’s home, most likely there is no super vision unless the host of the party had some ground rules but if the party gets too out hand or over capacity, there is not much that person can do. Who’s to say you need alcohol at a party just to have a good time. Why is there a need to end the party so soon because of person’s body limitations and a person’s irresponsibility? People should know their limits to alcohol. It is not something to just play around with. In this world that is what it is commonly used for; to play around and have a little fun because of how it makes someone feel in the present moment. But is it worth your life or someone else’s? I would no, not at. One thing someone should always remember before going to out and having a good time is transportation. One question a person should ask themselves and others is “how are we going to get there and how are we going to get home?” Drinking and driving is one of the worst things you can do but it is common. Consequences of this matter that the person driving with intoxication can get pulled over by the police, kill someone by hitting another vehicle or worst case scenario, killing themselves

and others in the car with them. Every year 900,000 people get pulled over by the office authorities. That’s a lot of DUIs! The advertisement doesn’t want anyone to fall through those cracks of being added to that statistics or to continue to be a part of those statistics.
In the advertisement, it shows details that are appealing to others, with how the woman is dressed and what’s in the background; modern fancy items and couture. In my opinion she dressed fairly nice, she didn’t want to ruin anything purposely. This image can look nice but the actions that are occurring don’t look pleasant. It is way to get people to understand how alcohol can cause a good thing can wrong, and lead to potential consequences.
The emotionally standpoint in this ad shows the pain or sickness of persons reaction when they are entirely too drunk to function. Peer pressure can play a part in drinking, which would be trying to get someone to drink much more than they should or over their limit. Alcohol can makes someone extremely sad and livid, that’s the bad emotion about be intoxicated.
The advertisement is trying to get the audience to consider their use of alcohol and to stop drinking because it will cause damages to your life. Someone might feel as though their life is “party”. Most people don’t want to end their life over just one random night, it’s more so that they are living “in the moment”, a phrase to describe living freely and inconsequently. The ad is trying to get that one person to understand that alcohol is not worth the trouble. The Stop Drinking Association did a good job of that without the imaging being repulsive. This is a very good advertisement to represent the abuse of alcohol and get someone to become clean, especially for a younger crown, because the woman in the ad looks young herself. This would be much appealing to the younger crown than the older crown because the younger crown is more energetic. To me the cause and effect of the ad is clean, positive, and very appropriate.
The use of alcohol can be dangerous, so if the audience wants to stop alcohol use, then they should stop now because the party won’t last long.
