Always A Marine Code Of Ethics

I have decided to create a company called Always A Marine Inc. which sole mission is to help Marines who have either retired or been separated from the Marine Corps find employment after their military career. My reasoning for starting this company is after hearing so many stories from Marines I have known explain how hard it can be applying some of their skills learned in the Marine Corps in the civilian business world. I have created the following Code of Ethics for my business to focus on my company’s ethics and social responsibility.

Code of Ethics

1. Customer Respect.

• Every company will survive or die with how a person deals with public relations. Customers are the heart and soul of the life of a business. Without their revenue coming in then you have no company.

2. Lead By Example.

• A good Manager or owner should lead by example never ask your employees to do something you will not do yourself. Do not be afraid to get into the job with them. Many think they should lead as a dictator. This type of behavior will not be tolerated in this company.

3. Understanding

• Understand your employee’s needs. Do not shut them out. A company goes further when you have Employees you are loyal to you and not disgruntled

4. Sexual Harassment

• Zero tolerance for Sexual Harassment. Sexual Harassment has more than just one victim. Sexual Harassment can actually destroy the reputation of the company. A solid investigation will be conducted and the finale judgment will be issued in accordance of the situation.

5. Safety

• Safety is of utmost importance. Be careful and watch for any hazards known to you. Do not take it for granted that someone else would pick it up or fix the situation. Each person is responsible for each other in this matter. If you choose not to deal with it the next person who shows up could be the one that gets hurt by our decision to “Leave it to the next person”

6. Drugs and Alcohol

• Zero tolerance for drug use. On-site random drug testing will be mandatory and refusal will result in immediate termination. Positive drug test will result in immediate termination and no re-hire. Zero tolerance for alcohol use while on company property or time. Zero tolerance for drug or alcohol use while representing the company.

• Drugs and alcohol use can impair your thinking and this can put the business and the other co-workers in jeopardy.
