He protected the Marines, the U.S. Army, and his fellow SEALs. Before Chris Kyle retired he had one hundred sixty confirmed kills and he was not satisfied. He said every terrorist he did not kill is one more chance one of our men gets killed. Nothing frustrated him more than missing a shot on an iraqi terrorist. But Chris Kyles most famous shot is a two thousand one hundred yard shot in a sand storm this is a world record for the world's longest shot.

After Chris kyle retired from the United States Navy, he started helping wounded veterans. American Sniper Analysis

...There is no better representation of love than that of the book American Sniper written by Navy SEAL Chris Kyle. In his autobiography, Kyle loves two things above all: his family and his country, America. What I found interesting was that Kyle seemed to love America more than his family. Kyle says in his book, “I’ve lived the literal meaning of the ‘land of the free’ and ‘home of the brave.’ It’s not corny for me. I feel it in my heart. I feel it in my chest. Even at a ball game, when someone talks during the anthem or doesn’t take off his hat, it pisses me off. I’m not one to be quiet about it, either” (43). The way that Kyle describes his chauvinism is exhilarating as he tells us the pride that he feels in being an American. The feeling that he gets in his heart and the anger that he feels when someone does not share the same...

American Sniper Review

...Patrick Murray Composition 1110 Review Paper 1 May 2015 Review of American Sniper The movie American Sniper is a film based on the book written by the main character, Navy Seal Sniper Chris Kyle. The movie stars Bradley Cooper as Kyle and is directed by Clint Eastwood and produced by leading actor Cooper. Kyle is a Texas native who discovers his call to serve God and country later in life due to the 9/11 terrorist attacks. This movie follows the events that take place throughout and shortly after his career as a Navy Seal, as well as, the events that take place after his service to his country is complete. Unlike many other modern day war movies depicting recent events, American Sniper does not seem to be written as a modern war propaganda movie to support the war efforts, or made just win various awards from screenwriters guilds and academies, but made as a tribute to the most deadly sniper in history, Kyle. This movie does a wonderful job depicting the struggles both on and off the battlefield that a lot of soldiers have to deal with when coming home from the warzone. This was very well done by Director Eastwood by switching in between the battlefield and home life various times throughout the movie in order to keep the audiences attention. I believe that the true sense of loss that a soldier goes through was not properly conveyed, either due to the cast or the lack of suffering that the family and Kyle himself goes through. The length of the movie as a whole...

Analysis: Adjustable Sights

...The article this week is Sight: Iron Sights: Adjustable Sights. All though the article is very brief and does not go into detail in regards of the sights, it does give a good brief description of the sights them selves. No matter what type of sights you have on your firearm, they do increase the accuracy of the firearm, wither it is a fixed sight or adjustable site. There are numerous ways to classify sights, such as open sights, aperture sights, fixed sights or adjustable sights. The most common sights are fixed and adjustable sights. We know the fact of having a sight of any type increases the accuracy of the firearm, but having an adjustable sight improve the accuracy dramatically. Sights are only one part of improving the accuracy, by adding rifling accuracy and distance also improved. With the combination of both shooters could shot accurately at short and long distances. Even with sights psychics still play a vital role in the trajectory of the bullet, which makes it difficult for shooting with fixed sights at greater distances. With fixed sights it is hard to compensate for aerodynamics and gravitational pull. The shooter must compensate now adjust by either shooting up higher and or to left/right. With adjustable sights these anomalies can be adjusted at the sight not with the firearm. Fixed sights are just that they are fixed to the firearm and do not allow for any changes. Generally you have a fixed rear sight and fixed front sight. To use you line up the...
