A very intriguing chapter in the book is titled “Missions and Prophets.” The quote to stand out among the chapter came from the novel Almanac off the Dead by Leslie Marmon Silk. The quote states, “The white man had sprinkled holy water and had prayed for almost five hundred years in the Americas, and still the Christian God was absent.” I pondered, “How did America come to the point where Christians are viewed as if we do not have God within us?” The answer comes down to the present generation.
