TD Sports Consultants (Essie)

This paper will describe the consulting firm that was chosen by team D and address several issues or problems that the consulting firm may encounter. It will also give a description of the services that will be offered by TD sports consultants. Finally, the paper will explain the why the consulting firm is well suited to the skills of the team D’s members. The team members agreed on the name TD Sports Consultants. This particular name was chosen because it was inclusive of all the team members’ and their skills and ideas. Because most of the team members are sports fans, it was suiting that we named a sports consulting firm after the founders. The purpose of the consulting firm is to help sport teams locate sponsors that can come up with innovative ideas and advertisements to promote their products. The firm will produce results that are not being filled by marketing companies. The strategy of TD Sports Consultants is to find out why other companies are not getting the desired results and to fill the gap by providing the needed services to the teams. Description of the TD Sports Consultants (Wally) Sports marketing is an industry worth billions (Kuriloff, 2007) in the US annually. Franchises have marketing departments to improve the perception of their team as well as advertising salespeople to maximize the team’s profit from licensing and advertising space. Interested companies can buy walls, bleachers, uniforms, programs, and whole stadiums as an advertisement. On the other side of the coin, advertising agencies have individuals who specialize in sports advertising. These specialists focus on getting endorsements from the celebrity players and finding the right advertising space in sports venues.
TDSC assists both of these groups in their goals of maximum advertising revenue and maximum return on investment for their advertising dollars. Many franchises try to sell their advertising space in an old fashioned, cold-calling style. TDSC can accelerate this process using web-based technologies such as Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and online marketplaces. Wise use of telemarketing can reduce the cost of a franchise’s sales efforts and allow them to cast a wider net than a few green sales reps cold calling on local businesses. On the advertisers’ side of the business, TDSC will keep abreast of changes in local markets, trends in up-and-coming sports, and the availability and rates of advertising opportunities at franchises across the country. By focusing on the issue of opportunity visibility, TDSC can provide solutions to ad agencies that have clients interested in placement in sports venues but might not know the best options to offer.
TD Sports Consultants Services (Michael)
TD Sports Consultants primary service is to help sports teams find sponsors and companies to come up with innovative sports advertising strategies. Within this service, our firm will offer different types of marketing agencies for sports teams to advertise in multiple ways. Specializing in SEO (search engine optimization), social networking, web design, as well as traditional media advertising. In addition, we will be working with both advertising agencies and the stadiums/franchises to get the best results possible by being their connection to one another. TD Sports Consultants will assist in the stadiums/franchises to get more of their ad spaces filled while helping the advertising agencies maximize their customers’ return on investment.
TD Sports Consultants Skills (Laura)

Consulting firms play the role of advisor to an organization or individual. Adhocracy in nature as well as current methodology, TDSC is a well-rounded group of professionals who have the skill sets to develop original and innovative ideas, develop a game plan, and get things rolling. Expertise including creative talent, sales, project management, and accounting are intrinsic elements of TDSC. The Talent: Wally DeBurgh – creative, sales, and information technology. Accomplished with pen or keyboard, Wally can brainstorm a last-minute campaign and keep the computer network running. Michael Cade – creative, process-oriented, and can crunch the numbers to determine rates to charge clients. His forte with number crunching and cost/benefit analysis will ensure clients receive value for their consulting dollars as well as being profitable for TDSC. Essie Major-Brown – administrative, research, final output. Essie is the go-to person when outsourcing needs arise. Janell Bailey – office management, research, sales. Janell’s leadership skills unify the team and keep the office running smoothly and efficiently. Laura Mogseth – accounting, finance, project management. Also collaborates with Michael to determine appropriate rates with regard to hourly rates, project fees, or working on a retainer basis to maintain steady cash flow and firm profitability.
Identifying the specialties and roles within the firm gives everyone insight into each colleague’s expertise, strengths and weaknesses—clearly the second step in the creation of the firm TD Sports Consulting.
