Two friends, Dkhokar Tsarneav and Dias Kadrbayev orchestrated a bombing at the Boston Marathon which killed 3 people, and injured 240 leaving 17 without at least one limb. This impacted not only the state, but America as a whole severely. This bombing is the most gruesome terrorist attack on US soil since 9/11, naturally making Tsarneav the first post 9/11 terrorist sentenced to death in a trial. Many pieces of visual evidence were provided at the trial including a photo retrieved from his computer that has him holding a gun while smiling in front of an Islamic flag as well as propaganda he possessed like the Inspire magazine that encourages radicalism and featured an article about how to make a bomb in a kitchen. Perhaps the most compelling
