The main character is Anne. Throughout her stay in the annex, she changes (dynamic characterization). At the beginning of the play Anne is loud, immature, and talkative, but towards the end she is quieter. All the occupants of the annex feel that she is talkative and loud, especially MrVanDaan. Mr.VanDan says “every evening it’s the same talk, talk, talk.” Anne had hid Peter’s shoes. Mrs. Frank thought it was not “dignified” for her to do this. As time passes in the annex, Anne grows quieter. Peter recognizes how she has become quieter and even mentions it to Anne. After this change, she does almost nothing to aggravate anyone, like Margot. Anne mainly has positive aspects such as confidence, bravery (towards the end), and thoughtfulness. In the play, Anne says she is going to Paris to study music and art. She is sure that she will go to Paris because of her confident tone. Towards the end, Anne shows bravery. In the play "The Diary of Anne Frank" we are introduced to several main characters, two of whom I chose as my least favorite and favorite character.
