You are alive. Your chest expands with every breath, your cells dying and regenerating by the millions every second. Each choice you make is conscious, and affects your future in some way, shape, or form. Our life is our own, and it cannot be fulfilled by anyone else. Similarly, one’s life has a specific purpose that cannot be accomplished by anyone else. Our minds evolve as we age, and further develop until we achieve our specific task or life mission. Your friend, neighbor, even your teacher cannot fulfill your destiny, for it is not designed to benefit them. Although we may have similar ambitions, each individual houses a life’s worth of tasks which can only be completed by him or her. The completion of these tasks is the realization of …show more content…
As one begins to speak, one beings to develop ideas. As one begins to develop ideas, the world shapes around him to match his perspective. This growth into consciousness creates an opinionated and dedicated individual. Without ideas to represent one’s beliefs, there is little meaning to one’s life. Thankfully, the human race has never been short of ideas, which have created passions within for individuals throughout time. How would we live had there not been the creation of the wheel? What would power our cities if Thomas Edison had not invented the light bulb? How would we cook if fire had never been created? It is the cultivation of this curiosity and intuitive thinking in every man’s mind that powers society’s innovations. One’s aspirations fuel his life, and they cannot be merely replaced by someone else. Individuality is …show more content…
For example, when asked the question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” children often answer: “Rich.” However, it is how the children want to become rich, or for what reasons they want to become rich, that differentiate each child. Each brind prevails or plummets on its own accord with little influence from the outside world. This philosophy regards the path the child chooses to travel through, which determines their individuality, rather than the destination the child reaches. This phenomenon of destined individuality can even be observed in the behavior of animals. Lacking the ability to think aside from instinct, animals are solely preoccupied with consumption and reproduction. Nonetheless, we observe animals of the same species consuming different animals, living in different habitats, and behaving differently from one another. Even in other aspects of the animal kingdom, it has been proven that each life has a slightly different purpose, and that this purpose cannot be recreated perfectly by anyone

Baby Boomers Research Paper

...Baby boomers are the first generation to actively declare a higher priority for work over personal life. They generally distrust authority and large systems. Their values were shaped primarily by a rise in civil rights activism, Viet Nam, and inflation. They are more optimistic and open to change than the prior generation, but they are also responsible for the “Me Generation,” with its pursuit of personal gratification, which often shows up as a sense of entitlement in today’s work force. Because of the fall of the dot.com marketplace, retirement savings of Baby Boomers were decimated and many now find themselves having to work longer than they had planned. A recent AARP survey of 2,001 people born in this era revealed that 63% plan to work...

...have been used, from drinking mercury filled solutions to having holes drilled in the head and letting the bad blood out. However in modern medicine, genetic engineering has taken up a controversial role. Scientists and Human Rights groups debate whether or not genetic engineering is morally right for people to undergo. Designer Babies Research Paper

...Designer babies are children that are born from embryos that have been genetically modified, or genetically screened, forms of IVF (In Vitro fertilisation). The embryo is removed from the female, put in a Petri dish and fertilised with the father's sperm, where the genetic structure of the embryo (in some cases it can be an immature egg cell; an oocytes) is analysed. With genetic screening, the embryos containing the undesired traits, such as sever health issues, are terminated. When the correct traits are found in the embryo, it is inserted in to the mother. With genetic modification, a third biological parent can be created when the genes of the original parents are removed from an egg with unreliable mitochondrial DNA which has been fertilised...

Baby Photographer Research Paper

...Payton and Samantha brought their little guy into my baby photographer studio for his newest milestone portraits. I met this couple for the first time when they brought Cullen in for his newborn session. He was just a week old at that time. The time flies by in a heartbeat! This time he was brought in for a cake smash session. While it's hard not to love all kinds of baby sessions, these are some of my favorites. His parents say that he is a happy, active and talkative boy who loves being outside. Silly sounds and funny faces make him laugh, but his favorite thing is eating. I was warned to keep the cake away until it was cake smash time. He really dug into that cake when the time came too. It was a blast to watch him play in the cake and...

We need to work together to ensure that no matter what sexual orientation or identity, everyone has equal access to support for their choices. Mozart

...Does Playing Mozart to Babies Make Them Smarter? Name: Fiona Ewing Student No.: n8588589 Subject: PYB100 Foundation Psychology Unit Coordinator: Dr Mariann Word Count: 1664 Researchers have claimed that the Mozart effect accomplished everything from temporary increases in IQ to creating the mental mechanism needed for infants to develop reasoning and analytical prowess. However there is little academic research and evidence of the Mozart effect on babies, making it difficult to contribute a link between the theory and intelligence enhancement it has on babies. Many research scientists haven’t been able to replicate the results or the results are temporary and have concluded that there is no evidence of the Mozart effect. Firstly by exploring the initial Mozart experiment conclusions can be draw regarding the Mozart effect and intellectual enhancement on babies. Secondly, through critical evaluation of research articles that were conducted to prove or disprove the theory, conclusions can be drawn regarding the Mozart effect and the degree of intellectual enhancement it has on babies. Thirdly, academic research suggests there is a scientific explanation behind the Mozart effect that provides a deeper understanding of the theory’s claims towards enhancing intelligence. There has been a lot of attention drawn to the first scientific experiment that introduced the Mozart effect. Rauscher, Shaw and Ky (1993) conducted an experiment with thirty-six college students that were...
