Topic: use of cellphones in school Cell phones should be allowed to use in every school in the united states. Although cell phones can be a distraction during class time also can be helpful for students and teachers. There are many reasons to allowed students use their phones during school. The cellphone can provide safety to students and also it can be used as a learning tool for them. Instead of having schools wasting time trying to get rid of cellphones, we need more schools giving cellphones an educational usage for their students. Now almost every teenager own a cellphone, tablet, or a device used for entertainment. Many schools since these devices appeared have watching it as a problem for their institutions. Schools don't realize the real capacity of the cellphones. If schools start making students to use their cellphones to learn,research, and read it would be easier to learn. Students would not text or play with their phones because they would be learning on their phones. There are a lot of educational apps like electronic books,calculators, word processors educational games and they can access to educational websites. These things would improve every school and student of America. Not only better education improves a school also a very important factor is the safety. The main reason some parents buy cellphones to their children is because it provides safety to them. You dont know what can happen during school, students could have an accident , an attack or shooting could occurred in a school. In a situation like that a student could call the police or an ambulance if is nedeed, a call could save a lot of lives. In the last years America have been struggling with several attacks to public places. One example was the shooting on sandy hook elementary school, for situations like this one is that students need to have cellphones. Getting back to the education and the cellphones, cellphones also can cause issues in some situations. Cellphones can be used to cheat during test or quizzes, students can take advantage of the cellphone and cheat by searching the answers on Internet. Also can be a distraction to many students who use facebook or likes texting. As I said before this could be easily solved by having students get used to use their phones for education and checking what they do in their phones during class. Those things should not be hard to solve or fix. On this era technology is advancing really fast and schools need to modernize and not staying back in their ways of teaching. Cellphones are devices that are necessary for students and for school now days. After Education and safety there is a lot of things that a cellphone can provide. Cellphones can become the books of the tomorrow and we need to adapt in order to advance.
