Strengths:
Toyota’s strengths lie in the fact that their assembly line is time efficient and the use of in time inventory control. Toyota does not have unwanted costs, like for example GM’s “legacy cost” which otherwise would decrease its profits and future investments. Toyota also achieves economies of scale which plays a big role in large industries especially when the average cost increases with the increase of production. Just in time production and the concept of building quality directly into the process are Toyota’s major strengths. Toyota’s production lines include the use of highly innovative technology which finds any faults and fixes them before the actual production begins. This allows them to enhance their product quality and efficiency.
Weaknesses:
Unlike the “Big Three” automakers Toyota does not assemble all of its vehicles that are offered to the North American market. This could be a down factor in consumers mind when selecting what vehicles to purchase since it does not contribute as much as to the economy as the other automakers does.
Opportunities:
In order to achieve future success Toyota should constantly look for upcoming new trends so that it can design products accordingly so it would be able to satisfy the needs of future customers. It should also focus on establishing and increasing its market shares in emerging countries. In established markets such as North America and Japan, its strategy should be emphasizing on products that are environmental friendly and are more appealing to younger generation. Toyota should also take advantage of its struggling rivals to gain more market share.
Threats:
Toyota should never ignore the potential of its rivals, although currently the “Big Three” automakers are reporting substantial loss of revenue due to their unorganized company structure and mismanaged management. It should never

GDP=C+I+G+(X-M). Export and import relate to the trade pattern. The growth of GDP due to increasing of X and rising price, it can enlarge the consumption and increase the M. But the trade pattern is different as increase in GDP per capita. It means people have money to consume better quality product that leads to increasing in foreign M. Or the quality of domestic product increase that leads to lower X. True. As the world price increase in importing country, consumer would likely to pay more on domestic product that leads to falling in import. The relevant current account balance is the value of good and services export minus import. Assume the export unchanged, as the result of decreasing import, the current account balance will improve. The high-income countries shouldn’t erect or maintain trade barriers. It could be reflect in reasons: i) as the import from low-wage country being against, one of the revenue from tax added on import product to the government will cut down. ii) the unemployment amount go up, the import-related industry...

...Assignment Week 1- 9/26/11 Aziza Gary Com/156 Instructor -Carrie O’Connell When I think about the challenges I will face writing a paper a lot of different factors come to mind. Writing a college paper or any type of writing has never been a strong point for me. Here are a few challenges I will face in the next 9 weeks. One serious challenge is procrastination. I recently learned that people will be slow to complete things, they truly don’t enjoy doing. English has never been my favorite subject and my writing skills, to me leaves much to be desired. This negative thinking, which is challenge number two for me does not provide me with a great learning environment. The last challenge for me would be trying to exceed my own expectations. I strive to be the best at everything that I do. As for back as I can remember English and Math have always been very tough for me. If I don’t envision a great paper there won’t be one. Let me present my challenges; procrastination, negative thinking, and over achievement. I know that only one of these items was cover this week in our studies, but this was my honest answer. When I re-read my top paragraph I realized that sometimes I can be my own worst critic. Getting my education is extremely important to me. In order to achieve my goals I must face my fears of writing. By giving myself time to study and research my topic I am sure to find something interesting to write about. I have to stay positive and interacting with...

Hello Assignemnt

...Hello, Thank you very much for considering my application. It is with great enthusiasm I wish to intern at GPPi. As a reporter for Reuters News covering Wall Street, I analyze financial data, talk to Wall Street analysts and investors to write stories every day. My time here has also ensured that I work well under pressure and manage time efficiently, thanks to working against deadlines to get stories published. During this time, I have seen companies constantly working out inventive ways to arrive at solutions and drive results. The government, on the other hand, has not tried an innovative approach in tackling issues of development. It is in fact the many NGOs and philanthropists we count on to fix the problems of healthcare and education.  As someone who is interested in pursuing a career in policy making related to poverty alleviation, I am particularly drawn to the ‘innovation in development’ focus area to understand what combination of financial aid, government intervention, business innovation is required to solve the biggest issues in human development. For these reasons, I would like to be considered for an interview opportunity. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for your time, expect less and less from the government. Today there’s cynicism in what the government can do for its people. This was evident in a research project I undertook with others where I studied the political awareness and voting behavior of University students. In my current...

With that in mind, proposing a system that tracks online shopping behavior introduces quite a few risks. Legal Concerns Where PII (Personally Identifiable Information) is concerned, so is the law. Although the proposed regulation does not affect the business I work for directly, it does however affect all motorists including myself using state highway everyday to commute. I selected this agency because it deals with the safety of commercial motor vehicles (CMV) and truck drivers. Like myself, there are many people out there who are usually afraid when driving passing these commercial motor vehicles and often worry about its safety. The proposed regulation is the most current one for the administration hence the main reason why I selected it, but it also interest me because am very curious as to the safety of commercial motor...

Worldview Assignemnt Apol 104

...Please note that this essay is missing citations. i. The term “worldview” is used to describe what one might refer to as an individual’s personal point-of-view in life. The word worldview is derived from the German word “Weltanschauung” which means “world” and “view”. A Worldview is involved in a human’s emotions, outlook, ethics, themes and values. This view is created and used on a daily basis by all human beings, whether perceived, or not. Worldview is used to interpret, to discern, and to plan. One’s worldview does not only affect the large decisions in life, such as college, or marriage, but also even the smallest choices of daily life, and word-use. ii. 1. As might be expected, a Christian Worldview differs largely from the worldview, or point-of-view, of the secular trends. A Christian Worldview believes that all questions to do with man, the universe, and creation are found and answered through the inspired Word of God. The Question of Origin is answered in Naturalism through Genesis, which states “In the beginning God created the Heavens and the earth”. Naturalists even go further to state that all living creatures, animals and organisms, are created by an ultimate Creator (Genesis 1). This view is in complete contrary to an Evolutionistic belief of humans deriving from animals. 2. The next question to which most people relate is The Question of Identity. The question of what man is, yet again, is answered through the Word of God, as stated in Genesis...

...Introduction We found studies similar to those conducted by our group. A study done by Charters, M. & Grimes, P in December 2000 concluded that there was similarity between library usage and ethnics. A correction was found with if students worked part time or full time. Black females who lived on-camps spent more time per week in the library than white males who lived off-campus. Another study that was also similar was done by Watson, L in September 2001, which concluded that there was a difference in educational gains of students by class level, colleges, and grade point averages. There was a difference between these groups. According to the study done by our group there were many relationships between the variables that were examined. The study that was completed by our group was done to find out if there was any relationship between Sacramento City College students and their use of library material. The purpose of this study was to get a broad picture of which students used the library and if the library is helping in stopping the students from falling behind. Our study shows significant insights where other studies have represented more of a limited view. Our hypothesis is students at SCC do not have sufficient access to reserve material in the library to be a successful student. Method Participants The participants in this study were male and female students who attend Sacramento City College. There were fifty participants in this study. The...

Immigration and Education

...In this paper, I want to focus on Immigrant Students in Secondary Schools. As a previous high school immigrant when I first arrived in United States, I have experience numerous difficulties in school that I would never forget. In addition, I believe immigrant students of secondary school can face major difficulties in learning English and succeeding in school. Since these students do not have a lot of time than elementary students to learn English, and they have to pass several test that require English skill such as the ACT and SAT. Above all, most secondary school texts and materials require a sufficient English reading ability to understand, which will even make learning experience becoming even tougher for high school immigrant. Before going into detail, lets take a look at the statistics of the United States’ immigration in the past few decades. According to U.S Bureau of the Census 1997a statistic, over a million immigrants, legal and illegal, entering the United States each year. And since the passage of the Immigration Act of 1965, which eliminated national origin quotas. Europe is no longer the main sources of newcomers to the United States but instead of Asia and Latin America. The largest groups come from Mexico, China, Cuba, and Vietnam. In the fall of 1997, 9 million (about one in five) elementary and secondary school students had a foreign born parents. With over 90% of recent immigrants coming from non English speaking countries, schools are increasingly...
