In order to understand the condition of atherosclerosis an investigation into the makeup of an artery is necessary. There are two different arterial systems in the human body: the Pulmonary artery system and the Systemic artery system. The pulmonary arteries carry blood away from the heart toward the lungs where blood becomes oxygenated and the systemic arteries oppositely carry oxygenated blood away from the heart and into the body’s tissues and organs. The anatomy of an artery can be viewed through three layers: the tunica externa, media, and intima. The tunica externa is the outermost layer of the artery and is made up of connective tissue, the tunica media is under this layer and is made up of smooth muscle cells and elastic tissue, and finally directly below this layer is the tunica intima which is made up of endothelial cells. Under all these layers is the lumen which is the area in which the blood is actually flowing throughout the arteries, this is further where the endothelium cells are (the lining of blood vessels). Hyperlipidemia was induced by passive smoking in a closed chamber having 1 burning ciggrette inside it. The hypolipidemic activity was analysed by reading the blood serum level in UV at 505 nm after treated with reagent present in auto span diagnostic kit. Dose of Methanolic extracts of QI had been prepared by using distilled water i.e. 200 mg/kg p.o. Methanolic extracts of QI significantly reduce the harmful lipid layer in blood serum at varying concentration and dose dependent manner which shows that the plant carries the hypolipidemic properties. It reduces the LDL, VLDL, cholesterol, triglyceride and raise HDL level in blood serum upto certain extent which was may be due to the inhibition of lipid peroxidation as the plants contain some active ingredients acting as antioxidants. Our result shows that the plants extracts recover the disorders in lipid metabolism noted in hyperlipidemic state. With operations split between Chennai, India, and Boston, Massachusetts, NatuRi had developed a biological compound that showed promising effects in cholesterol management. The compound, discovered by Aravind’s mother, biological scientist Rukmini Cheruvanki, was derived from the byproducts of rice bran oil (RBO) production. Early animal trials had demonstrated that the compound was effective in lowering “bad” cholesterol while simultaneously increasing levels of “good” cholesterol. If manufactured for human ingestion, the compound would provide a natural alternative to synthesized cholesterol-lowering drugs on the market. Although NatuRi was still in the start-up stage, it had captured the attention of at least four potential investors willing to offer a seed investment.
