Welcome to the city of Auspyre, located in what was once known as Wyandotte and Leavenworth County, Kansas. In the year of 2317, there is an estimated population of around one million people living in Auspyre. This city is safe for raising families because of the low crime rate, which is one in every 1,000 citizens. There are seven fire stations, seven police stations, and three hospitals for Auspyre, and the same amount for the west side.
Auspyre’s climate consists of humid summers and mild winters. There is a river east of city that serves as the main water supply. The water from the river is taken through a series of purifier plants and then stored. The river is also partially used for food, such as fish. Food is also taken from our special …show more content…
This region was originally in the top 30 counties for the highest crime rate in the country (source 12). This region also had high obesity rates.The obesity rate was up to 40 percent of the population. Only 45 percent of the population was getting a healthy amount of physical exercise (Source 9). Government funding for constructing public spaces was non-existent. The birth of Auspyre focused on reviving and improving public spaces. New public spaces helped reduce obesity, and crime tremendously. They encouraged citizens to get exercise, which increased the physical exercise rate, and decreased the obesity rate. As for crime, the public spaces help reduce stress. With more time spent in public spaces, less time will be focused on committing crime. Instead of having traditional street lamps in parks, Auspyre has light trees. They are made of recycled plastic and filled with water, in which LEDs on the bottom illuminate the ”tree.” Transparent strips of glass along the “trunk” allows the light to be seen. The tree is powered by solar cells, which surrounds the base of the tree. The “limbs” have plants growing in them. When the plant in the limb gets to a desirable size, it is removed and planted in soil. Then it is replaced with a new plant and the process restarts.
