Back 9 Dips are a corporation that produces flavored chicken dip aimed at Americans looking for snack foods. In their Shark Tank interview, they bring up the fact that the number one Super Bowl snack food is chicken wings, while the second is chip and dips. The company aims to combine these two snack foods into one dip to satisfy the need and wants of consumers. It is a differentiated product, trying to fit a niche in the oversaturated snack market, one that typically dominated by larger corporations with multiple options. The price of one Back 9 Dip sells typically sells around $7.99-$8.99 for a 1-pound tub, depending on the grocery store. The ingredients of the product cost around $2.52, while the wholesale price is at $5.25. Promotion is done through Back 9 Dips catering company as they have built up a loyal following; the founders of the company also promote to a wide-range of customers including college students, and high-level executives. The placing of the product includes at catering events and most recently, in the grocery stores. From one of their stories, it seemed like they were offering taste testing at the grocery stores in order to promote the product. At the price point, it is extremely important to start promoting at more high-end grocery stores; product advertisements at stores like Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods will target a market that are more willing to spend more money for a higher quality product than at other grocery stores. The advertising message should be informative yet persuasive (Kerin, Hartley, & Rudelius,

Optical Pump

...Optical Pumping Lab Report [Basic Principle] Before discussing the optical pumping, we have to mention the energy levels of the atom and their splitting due to the interaction between the spin of electron, orbital angular momentum of electron and spin of nuclei. We denote them with S, L, and I respectively. And the total angular momentum of electron is denoted by J, (Grand) total angular momentum is denoted by F. Therefore we will have to deal with the LS interaction, IJ interaction and later the interaction between the Grand total angular momentum and external magnetic field. A very schematic picture of the energy levels of 87Rb under a weak external field is shown in Fig. 1. After applying an weak external magnetic field on the atom, the formally degenerated energy level with same F will further split into 2F+1 sublevels, denoted by mF which is the projection of Grand total angular momentum to the direction of external field B0. Fig. 1 Until now we haven't mention any thing about the optical pumping. Now we have the atom well prepared, the only thing we have to do is to illuminate the vapor of Rubidium with some well tuned highly polarized light. Well tuned means the spectrum of the incident light is better to be narrow, this can be achieved by using a interference filter to screen out the unwanted light and let only the D1 line pass, namely when this light illuminated on the Rb vapor, only transitions between sublevels originated from 5S1/2 and sublevels originated...

Body Weight Exercise

...Bodyweight exercises are those that use your bodyweight instead of equipment like dumbbells or gym machines. Using bodyweight was one of the original forms of strength training. It's easy to learn, effective, and you can do it at home, at work or traveling - much like a portable gym. Although you can get quite inventive, the following 10 bodyweight exercises are great exercises to work all the major muscle groups. Many, like the squat, are compound exercises that work more than one muscle group. What are bodyweight exercises? It may seem obvious to seasoned gym trainers, but many forms of resistance and related exercise regimens sometimes use your own bodyweight. Programs such as yoga, Pilates, calisthenics and plyometrics all use bodyweight to enhance strength, muscle, flexibility and fitness at some level. In the context here, bodyweight exercises use a recognizable strength and resistance training model of concentric, eccentric and isometric exercise to achieve the fitness and strength targets. The following 10 exercises form the core of the bodyweight workout program. Many other variations and modifications are possible. 1. Push-ups The push-up is a classic bodyweight exercise, and it demonstrates quite clearly the principle of bodyweight resistance training. While facing the floor and propped up on hands and toes, push the body to and from the floor. One "up-and-down" is one push-up repetition. Don't go too fast or too slow. Keep the head and neck steady. Do as many...

...Year 10 Geography Coursework at Newhaven and Seaford, East Sussex. “Sediment is transported along the coast in large amounts and this has consequences for humans.” “Sediment is transported along the coast in large amounts and this has consequences for humans.” Introduction “Sediment is transported along the coast in large amounts and this has consequences for humans.” For our GCSE field work we were given this hypothesis (stated above) to examine. The most appropriate places we visited to investigate this hypothesis was Newhaven and Seaford on the South East coast. They are suitable places to visit as they are relatively close to us in Crawley, West Sussex. These places are most at risk from coastal erosion and flooding as they are along the South East coast. A process which transports sediment along the coast is called long shore drift. It is the process by which sand and pebbles are moved along a beach by the movement of waves. As water rushes up the beach it forms the swash and as it returns down the beach, the backwash. The most common direction in which the waves move is determined by the direction from which the wind blows most often (prevailing wind). There is evidence that long shore drift is operating and we are going to prove it. At Seaford long shore drift is constantly occurring moving sediment from West to East. Seaford regularly has beach replenishment operations where material is moved from one side of the beach to the other. Diagram of long shore drift...

Mogul Skiing

...Introduction Mogul skiing is a fairly new sport that emerged as part of freestyle skiing back in the 1960’s and 70’s (Appelbe, 2010). Moguls are the bumps that are formed when skiers push down the snow as they ski downhill. The formation of moguls happens naturally with time on a frequently used slope. This unstable terrain was challenging to many and soon became a course to run on the slopes. In 1966, the first freestyle event took place in Attitash, New Hampshire but was not yet recognized as a sport. Later, however, the Canadian Freestyles Skiers Association was formed and mogul skiing was recognized by The International Ski Federation. Freestyle skiing was originally broken up into three distinct disciplines which were aerials, ski cross, and moguls. Moguls and aerials became Olympic sports in the early 1990’s, and ski cross became an Olympic sport for the first time at the 2010 Games (Appelbe, 2010). The mogul skiing event is a downhill event where the goal of the skier is to finish the run as fast as possible while maintaining control through a very unstable terrain filled with moguls and they also need to execute tricks and turns to impress the judges. The moguls measure approximately four feet tall and are approximately 3.5 meters apart, the slope also has two small jumps known as “kickers” due to the steep take off. Each mogul slope whether natural or man-made is different so the terrain is never exactly the same. There are several competition events for mogul...
