1. What is the difference between the Banting Diet and the Historical Balance Diet..?

Banting Diet:

• This is a diet with high protein, low and carbohydrates to lose weight.

1 FOOD TO BE EATEN WHEN BANTING:

• A large amount of fats are to be eaten… such as: butter, cream, oils.
• Large variety of nutritious low carb vegetables, like: spinach, broccoli and cauliflower.

2 ADVANTAGES OF THE BANTING DIET:

• With Banting Diet, the weight you lose, you will not pick it up again, if you maintain your intake of food and keep on Banting.
• It reduces your appetite, which leads to lowering the amount of calorie intake.
• A Banting Diet forces you to cut out all sweeteners
• Makes you cut out all starch products.

3 DISADVANTAGES OF THE BANTING DIET:

• Causes symptoms at first like: include headaches, nausea, brain fog, fatigue, thirst and chills.
• If you follow a Banting Diet, you won’t have as much strength and energy as usual.
• Banting can be expensive.
• Might take a while for your body to adjust to the change in food taken in.
• Too much caffeine can cause you to pick up weight.
4 HOW A TYPICAL BANTING DIET EATING PLAN:

• Breakfast – 2 Eggs fried in butter and some wilted spinach
• Lunch – Tuna and avocado on salad greens with homemade mayo
• Dinner – Roast chicken (skin on), green beans drizzled with olive oil and red peppers roasted in coconut oil
Or
• Breakfast – Bullet coffee (coffee with butter and coconut oil)
• Lunch – 2 slices of Banting seed bread with butter, cheese, tomato
• Dinner – Lamb kebabs topped with creamy tzatziki, mixed salad drizzled with olive and cauliflower, rice, fried in butter and garlic.
