1. I fully agree. Apple definitely has the upper hand on all the competitors. The ipod, iphone, iphone apps and the ipad have multitudes of accessories, apps and uses with their products. All you need to do is look at the sales numbers, numbers never lie. Why buy someone else’s products when Apple has all you need at your fingertips. 2. Apple collected a lot of data to make the ipad exactly what the consumers want. The ipad is a lightweight, portable tablet computer. The information Apple collect also played a huge role in consumer’s consumption. This device can multitask by downloading emails, searching the web and play music all on a wireless network. Apple used business intelligence to overcome the competitors. They knew we as consumers wanted something fairly small, portable and easy to use. It is like carrying your desktop around just without your normal office accessories (printer, speaker, keyboard, wires etc.). If Apple did not have the knowledge of what the customers wanted then the company would be at risk to other competitors. Everyone wants electronics that are faster in downloading and has multiple functions like ipad. 3. Buyer power- a lot of people will buy products and rate them on how well they function, reliability, battery use, screen resolution etc. so that would definitely have an impact on competition. Stores that sell Apple product will drive prices down to satisfy the needs of consumers.
Supplier power- Apple products are made overseas so the prices are higher because of the cost of shipping and the demand for latest most efficient product on the market. Therefore if the demand goes up the cost rises. People are going to buy what they want when they a want it, no matter what the cost; nine out ten times consumers will buy the product as soon as possible especially in America. Right now, there is slim competition against Apple but I
