Valencia City, Bukidnon Introduction In a world where we commonly see laptops, tablets, computers or mobile phones as a technology of choice it may serve as an important tool for schools and teachers to create reforms in means of teaching. More and more often there are schools in which technology is used as an instructional tool. The use of technology can help improve and enhance the acquisition of knowledge and skills of students. Also learning technology is essential for students to gain the competency to function well in a 21st century society or the hi-tech society and workforce. We are an evolving technological society and in many ways have become dependent on its use. Thus, the use of technology and teaching students have to use it has become a high priority in many schools.

There are studies conducted that talks about the benefits of integrating technology in learning English language. These include the study of Gulek and Demirtas (2005) that focused on Learning with technology: the impact of laptop use on student achievement; Lowther, Strahl, Inan and Bates (2007) that concentrated on Freedom to Learn Program Michigan; Christen (2009) that studied about transforming the classroom for collaborative learning in the 21st century techniques: Connecting Education and Careers.

Gulek (2009) study focus on Learning with Technology: The Impact of Laptop Use on Student Achievement. In the analysis of Fifty Trends Now Changing the World, Cetron and Davies (2001) noted that technology is increasingly dominating both the economy and society. Schools are no exception. The study

...CHAPTER I THE PROBLEM        This chapter consists of six parts, the introduction, theoretical framework, statement of the problem, scope and limitations of the study, significance of the study, and definition of terms. INTRODUCTION        Health has been defined by the World Health Organization (1999) as “a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity”. An additional description says that “health is defined by what does not constitute health, namely disease” (Risse, 1999). Disease, on the other hand, has been defined as a “biological abnormality” or distress and disability that are based on abnormal processes and structural alterations of the human organism. These definitions represent what medical anthropologists call as ethic definitions or “behavioral phenomena considered in isolation from a particular system or in relation to predetermined general concepts” (Mish, 1990). Predetermined general concepts may be most applicable to people who are not in the medical field and may have different perceptions about health and how to sustain healthiness and well-being. Less exposure in the “real medical field” and lack of proper health education may result for them to have different ways on how to cope up with health or on the other side is to have no way to handle it due to lack of knowledge, skills, capabilities, and attitude towards the health problem. Hence, the relevant conceptual, theoretical, and empirical work is reviewed, drawing upon correlational, experimental, and qualitative findings. A meta-analysis of procrastination’s possible causes and effects, based on 691 correlations, reveals that neuroticism, rebelliousness, and sensation seeking show only a weak connection. Strong and consistent predictors of procrastination were task aversiveness, task delay, selfefficacy, and impulsiveness, as well as conscientiousness and its facets of self-control, distractibility, organization, and achievement motivation. These effects prove consistent with temporal motivation theory, an integrative hybrid of expectancy theory and hyperbolic discounting. Continued research into procrastination should not be delayed, especially because its prevalence appears to be growing.
