La Narrow Definition de los Stakeholders de Freeman, establece que los que conforman este grupo de interés son solo aquellos quienes son vitales para la supervivencia y éxito de la corporación.
Específicamente en el caso, los Stakeholders y sus preocupaciones son,
Las principales preocupaciones que estos grupos tenían comenzando por la comunidad local era la expropiación de sus tierra ya que los habían dejado como menos de 1% de sus terrenos originales y la contaminación ambiental que se estaba dando debido a que Perú era uno de los países con mayor daño ambiental debido al exceso de la explotación de sus recursos naturales. Por parte de los empleados por supuesto que era importante para ellos mantener su trabajo y esperar que el proyecto siguiera en pie, de manera de tener un trabajo estable de donde pudieran obtener beneficios sociales y seguros médicos
Oxfam es una entidad internacional la cual representaría la preocupación mundial por el abuso de las corporaciones que sobre explotan recursos naturales, en este caso BHP Billiton estaba unida al pacto de CCLP y debía velar porque la corporación la cumpliera en todo momento.
Stockholders o dueños de la empresa, (Australia y London Stock Exchange) estos son los acreedores y por lo tanto su principal preocupación es básicamente obtener ganancias y beneficios a partir del negocio, en este caso la minera de cobre en Tintaya de BHP Billiton.. Clientes (refinadoras, acerías, termoeléctricas, etc), son las distintas compañías que lo compran lo que produce la minera de Tintaya, y por lo tanto su principal preocupación es que la minera funcione y produzca los recursos que estos necesitan y que por lo demás los tengan a tiempo y no se atrasen debido a problemas con la comunidad local o distinto tipos de protestas.
Por último Lucio Ríos, administrador o manager principal en el caso por parte de BHP Billiton, es actúa como agente y por lo tanto es quien debe preocuparse de gestionar y hacer que se cumpla cada uno de los compromisos que tiene con sus distintos Stakeholders siguen los principios como son el de gobernancia, de entrada y salida, de agencia, externalidades, etc.
Un stakeholder que podemos agregar durante el proceso de la mesa de dialogo son las ONG internacionales las cuales intervinieron luego de que Lucio Ríos pasara por programa CCLP de Oxfam, así durante la mesa de dialogo donde participo la corporación y la comunidad local, y se estudiaron las principales preocupaciones de la población de Tintaya, las cuales eran: Tener el respeto y construir una relación por parte de la corporación con la comunidad, entender directamente los problemas causados por la corporación a la comunidad, tomar en cuenta el tiempo que tiene la comunidad para establecer una estrategia de desarrollo y la necesidad de que el proyecto sea sustentable.
Luego de la mesa de desarrollo y las soluciones que se dieron aportadas y construidas mutuamente en la mesa de dialogo entre ambas partes, se llego a un buen acuerdo, donde se les devolvió terrenos a los indígenas, se les entrego material y ayuda para desarrollar técnicas de producción en cultivo, y esto hizo que la comunidad de Tintaya que había sido afectada, apoyará fervientemente luego a la empresa. Por último un stakeholder que aparece posterior a la mesa de dialogo, son comunidades cercanas a la Tintaya que no se vieron afectadas directamente por la minera y por lo tanto no fueron incluidas en las reparaciones que entregó BHP Billiton, y también querían beneficios, fue así que las ONG internacionales y la comunidad local de Tintaya apoyaron a la minera debido a las nuevas buenas relaciones, y así Lucio Ríos decidió también ayudarlos a través de la construcción de un hospital, generando y estableciendo buenas relaciones con todas las comunidades cercanas y respetan los 6 principios que se deben tener con los stakeholders, por ejemplo el de agencia en este ultimo caso.
