Biden is a notorious for not having a script, so the current Vice President is seemingly for the legalization. Days following the statement by Biden, President Obama made a claim also supporting the marriage equality movement. Consequently, two of the highest figures within the government are pro equality, so other politicians probably think the same way. The outreach of other members of the government will eventually come to light as their comfort grows.

Many businesses refused to serve people because of who they are. These individuals were turned down because of something they can not control. Does the idea sound familiar? The same idea was in place with the segregation and discrimination of African American individuals in the past (law) and today (beliefs). Another instance at which deeming a certain population lesser for any reason is Hitler and Nazi Germany. Once people “found out” that the Jews “bankrupt” Germany, they turned against their own people. Obviously, the Nazi Party is an extreme example; however, the Nazi Germans practiced the same idea as people who are against the LGBT community. Subsequently, the outrage was so acrimonious that the law was quickly changed.A affinity between the Nazis and same-sex marriage is that the discriminatory law and beliefs behind the law will never be able to occur illegally again unless the ruling is changed in the future.
