Symbol Paragraph

" I fought growing up so hard. I did not want to grow up." This quotes summarizes Bobby's life. Bobby has a hard time growing up because he is not used to having responsibilities. Having Feather made him become a father and it made him have to take full responsibility for a whole other person, an individual who is too fragile to look after herself.

The spray paint that Bobby used on the wall that he tagged represents his emotions. All of the colors that he used on the wall, all represent something. The colors are red,black,green,yellow,and purple. Red represents anger and fear while green represents joy and happiness, and blue represents sadness and frustration.

Trophies symbolize achieving something. Bobby has always wanted to learn how to ski but has never had the time. He will probably never have the time to achieve anything that is super satisfying because now he has Feather to take care of. Feather will always take up most of his time, that is what it takes for him to be a dad.

One of the last symbols that I chose to symbolize is Just Frank. I chose to symbolize him because he died being a hero. The reason he died was because he was trying "to save a neighborhood girl from being dragged into the alley by a nut job"and ended up getting killed. People like Bobby used to think that Just Frank was just some homeless man that was a joke and "liked to drink forties at ten in the morning". Just Frank always asked Bobby if he was a man yet and all Bobby would do is laugh and walk away but what Bobby did not realize is that Just Frank was just asking if Bobby had grown up yet.

Lastly, I would like to symbolize the arcade. The arcade was Bobby's childhood right up until he had to become a father. Bobby does not go there anymore because he does not have the time anymore. Another reason is because it probably feels childish knowing that he has a kid but he is going into a place that is mainly for children. If it were not for Feather, Bobby probably would not have come of age but he has and that is a very good
