One struggle, in the book Hope Was Here by Joan Bauer is about braverman and how he overcomes his struggle. Braverman´s struggle is he can not afford to go to college so he works at the dinner. Also, he is constantly getting mis judged by people like when he got beat up for his political beliefs . One way he overcame his struggle is working at the dinner. He works at the dinner to help the owner G.T Stoop who has leukemia. He also does it for the paycheck because he has two twin sisters Heidi and Hannah no dad and his mom does not get a good amount of money. Another way Braverman overcame his struggle is when he got beat up so, he wrote a letter to the newspaper called Political Lesson. Braverman got beat up because of his political beliefs,
