Adaptation to an accounting system within a business or enterprise adds informative value across the company’s infrastructure. The value displayed by the accounting system role plays in effective facets such as faster processing to all accounting functions and foundationally offering over the top results to errors prone from human weaknesses within the data processing schema. System adaption can improve managerial resourcing and monitor processing thus allowing for better control within Kudler entities presently and within the future. Values stream outward as time and responsibilities are placed into organized role task for employees, allowing for improved customer service among consumers and stakeholders. Core features within the accounting system will address priority levels of information, enhancing decision making in all facets of company planning and viable control functions. A point of central consideration should be the inventory focus within Kudler Fine Foods. Inventory remains essential in balancing all spherical points within the Kudler organization.

Characteristics of the System In the opinion of this accounting firm, Kudler Fine Foods needs to purchase software to record, maintain, and report their information. Every organization has several processes with some experiencing more complex than others. If Kudler wants to remain competitive they must make this transition. The current software at the Kudler headquarters is outdated and many of the systems can be automated just by switching use of the current software. Changing the software allows the main location to communicate directly with the central server, back up information, and process payroll direct deposits through the bank for their employees. Customer purchasing trends and supplier orders can be automated. The savings from automating these tasks alone will pay for the software transition very quickly. By implementing AIS, Kudler can streamline, simplify, and incorporate all of their business processes quickly and effectively.

Software Key Features QuickBooks key features include; ▪ Organized GUI for simple setup, and ease of learning for end user ▪ Financial aspects pertaining to consumers, vendors, banking are centralized into one convenient location. System Core Technology Each location currently uses Windows 98 for core technology. Minimal upgrade recommendations for POS in the network are Windows XP SP3. Novell network servers can be eliminated, with upgrade to Windows Server 2003 R2 as the centralized server. Network Internet connections need upgraded to minimal 100mbs.

Software Pricing Maintenance Fees Maintenance fees will only be needed through exhaustive system calibration. Key maintenance features which are needed were represented in initial table of core features needed. Kudler has to determine if additional IT people are needed or Smith Consulting will act as a maintenance vendor. Implementation Costs Intuit does offer software implementation directions within the website. Hardware Costs Hardware costs will deal with Upgrades from 56k modem to 1000mbs dedicated line per location. Hardware upgrades will include 12 POS stations, 4 per location and a dedicated server housed within Kudler’s main location. The dedicated server will run Windows 2003 R2 server. Please note these hardware considerations are within the minimal limits needed to support the recommended software.
