A dialogue between someone that wants to reserve a table and the employee from the restaurant; and then a dialogue between two persons that eat in the restaurant. Mr. Olsen: Good afternoon! Waiter: Good afternoon, Sir! Mr. Olsen: I would like to reserve a table for tonight. Waiter: Of course, Sir. For how many people ? Mr. Olsen: Could we have a table for two? Waiter: I'm sorry, sir, but the tables for two are fully booked until 8 p.m. Mr. Olsen: No problem. I would like a table for 9 p.m., in fact, I would like our usual table. Waiter: Of course, sir. Mr. Olsen: Thank you.

After several hours. Waiter: Good evening! Mr. Olsen: Good evening! Waiter: Have you made a reservation, sir? Mr. Olsen: Yes I had, several hours ago; don't you remember? Waiter: Oh, I'm sorry, sir, I do remember; please follow me. Mr. Olsen: Thank you. Waiter: Would you like a drink before your meal? Mr. Olsen: No, we'll order the meal. Waiter: Yes, please… Mr. Olsen: I would like roast lamb with mint sauce and for my partner, pork chop with mustard sauce and two glasses of white wine. Waiter: That would be all, sir? Mr. Olsen: Yes. Waiter: Very good, sir.

Mr. Olsen: Waiter, can you bring us the bill, please? Waiter: Yes, sir, one moment, please. Waiter: Do you want to pay separately or do you want it all on the same bill? Mr. Olsen: This gentleman is my guest. Waiter: That will be 89 euro altogether. Mr. Olsen: We enjoyed our dinner very much. Waiter: Thank you, sir. I hope you`ll come again.

For the existing single-family homes, it may be too costly of an undertaking to upgrade the current facilities because the homes were not designed to be sustainable and their location alone is far from efficient. Design/methodology/approach – Brand equity was conceptualised as a multi-dimensional concept consisting of brand awareness, perceived quality, brand associations and brand loyalty. To test the brand equity scale cross-nationally a survey was undertaken in the UK and Spain. Measurement invariance was assessed using multi-group confirmatory factor analysis. Findings – The brand equity scale was invariant across the two countries. Results show that the consumer-based brand equity scale has similar dimensionality and factor structure across countries. In addition, consumers respond to the items of brand equity in the same way, which allows meaningful comparison of scores. Reel American History also states, “Columbus began instituting full-scale slavery on the natives during his second encounter. He created the tribute system where the natives would bring a certain amount of gold to the Spaniards every three months. If the natives failed to bring the gold, they would have their hands cut off” (Gallagher). One of the local friars on the colony, Bernardo Buil, wrote of Columbus’ harsh methods with the natives (Flint). Another priest, Bartolome de Las Casas, who was sympathetic to the natives after spending years among them reported, “they were tortured, buried and fed to the dogs of their masters” (Morgan). Columbus’ practice of slavery was his own idea and against the wishes of Queen Isabella, who felt that slavery was offensive (Bio.com, Gallagher). Emil Morhardt* Roberts Environmental Center, Claremont McKenna College, Claremont, CA, USA ABSTRACT All material related to environmental and social performance on the corporate internet sites of 454 Fortune Global 500 and Fortune 1000 companies in 25 industrial sectors was analyzed using the Pacific Sustainability Index. Maximum scores for individual sectors were 20–75 percent of the total possible, highest in the largest and most environmentally sensitive sectors and ranging generally linearly, as shown by plotting score versus rank, down to nearly zero in every sector. None of the variation in score is explained by corporate revenue in the Asian and European firms in this sample (revenues greater than about $9 billion), but there is a very weak correlation between score and revenue for American firms of this size, and a stronger one when Fortune 1000 companies (all American) with revenues smaller than this are included, suggesting that, as corporate size reaches a certain threshold, sustainability reporting becomes independent of it.
