1. In what way is Michael A. Todman exercising Leadership?
Leadership is a practice where a leader affect the direction of a unit in attaining its objective. In our case, Todman looks as a leader who appreciates the skills of his people and able to utilize them to the best of the organization. He is able to make critical decisions and get his staff buy in and keeping them engaged and motivated towards achieving the corporate goals. In certain situations, we can see Todman a leader who consults his people. On another occasions and where decisions need to be done quickly, we see him making decision with limited or no consultation. In another words, Todman is seen to be situational leader who is able to adjust his leadership style based on the situation. He is also charismatic leader who is able to influence the people around him and keep them engaged.

2. Identify at least three leadership roles Todman emphasizes as president of whirlpool International
Stategic Thinking :
Todman is seen to be visionary leader who is able to analyse current situation and predicts the future. The changes he made to the business model , marketing strategy , product lines reflect the ability to think and act strategically.
Excellent Communicator:
Todman understood that changes in the decision making process should be supported by transparent and effective communication policy in order to get the buy in of the employees. So , he implemented changes to the communication calendar where meeting were held on monthly basis rather then bi-annual and this is to coop with the fact that decisions need to be made and communicated in faster pace.
Analysis and Decision Making
Todman looks to be a leader who is knows the business very well. He is able to analyse the situation and able to make critical decisions whenever needed. Decisions were made across the board.

When we first met, we divided the project into equal parts and set a due date for the written parts. One thing that we could have worked on would be to have more meetings. We feel that if we met maybe one or two more times, we could have gotten all of our issues with the written parts and presentation out rather than communicating though texting and Facebook. Another aspect our group could have improved on would be communication within our group. Although we all finished our parts on time without any conflict, we never got together to bounce ideas off each other and give each other ideas for our parts. We were just assigned the parts and didn’t discuss them until we put it all together. This could have been beneficial to all of us and maybe make the workload less.
