...start to acquaint themselves to the penalties of copying from sources and/or from their fellow students. They should understand that any plagiarised and/or copied assignment will result in a heavy market deduction. Small Business Plan Editor: Tim Berry (http://articles.bplans.com/writing-a-business-plan/) For any start-ups, a business plan allows gaining a better understanding of the industry structure, competitive landscape, and the capital requirements of starting a small business. Normally a business plan is difficult to implement unless it is simple, specific, realistic and complete. In addition, a good plan will need someone to follow up and check on it. The plan depends on the human factor, particularly the process of commitment and involvement, and the tracking and follow-up that comes afterward. Successful implementation usually starts with a good plan. There are elements that will make a plan more likely to be successfully implemented. It includes: 1. Is the plan simple? Is it easy to understand and to act on? Does it communicate its contents easily and practically? 2. Is the plan specific? Are its objectives concrete and measurable? Does it include specific actions and activities, each with specific date of completion, specific persons responsible and specific budgets? 3. Is the plan realistic? Are the sales goals,...

Business Plan

...Writing your first business plan • Writing your first business plan The best managed businesses see planning as a continuous activity in which they set both long-term and short-term objectives. Having a plan should not be considered a straightjacket, but as a way of ensuring that everyday activities happen in a structured way. Well managed businesses will see a plan as a framework providing the ability to be flexible and responsive when opportunities arise, without being blown totally off course. Knowing that the bulk of your activities are performing according to plan will give you the freedom to explore those opportunities. Regular monitoring of how a business is performing is also important to determine if goals and objectives are being met. Surveys of small and growing businesses suggest that those who plan are more likely to make a higher profit. Ideally, you should write down the results of your planning process - though you may find that your plan is best summarised as a list of key objectives together with a budget. There may be occasions, however, when you have to explain the plan to a third party in order to demonstrate a proposed course of action for the business. This is particularly so if you are about to start in business and are seeking financial support. When a business is on top of its planning, it becomes a very straightforward process to summarise the different elements into a written plan. In the same way that a balance sheet gives a snapshot of the...

Executive Summary

...write an executive summary, ask yourself the following questions: * Who will read your executive summary? Sometimes your executive summary may have an “intended” audience: your professor might require you to write it for a CEO, department head, or supervisor, for example. On other assignments, your audience won’t have a specific identity, but always keep in mind that the reader of an executive summary needs to know all of the important information in the main document without reading the actual document. Even if you know that your instructor will be reading everything that you submit, write the executive summary as a “stand alone” document. * What is the main document’s main topic, theme, or idea? Most reports have a “thesis” or central point that they are seeking to communicate. Try to sum this up in two or three sentences. If you are having trouble with this, imagine that someone has asked you, “what’s this report about?” and that you have to explain it in only a few sentences. Once you’re able to say what the main idea is, it will be easier to write it. * What is the “purpose” of the main document? Most reports and papers have a reason, or a goal (beyond just fulfilling an assignment). Perhaps the report supports a change of opinion, new direction, or course of action. Try to summarize this in two or three sentences. * Are there sections, or divisions, within the document? If so, which ones are...

..., A Business Plan ACC/220 Abstract I am basing this business plan off of mine and a friends hobby. We have had a hobby of making kids clothes and accessories over the past year that our husbands have been deployed. Not only have we talked about designs for the kids clothing and hair accessories, but we have dug a little deeper into business licenses, taxation, profit, and expenses. I am hoping that this business plan I am writing for my final assignment will actually be put to use and help us to possibly expand the hobby even further, and develop a basis for us to start a sole proprietorship. HazeRed Designs, A Business Plan Hello investors, and thank you for taking interest in HazeRed Designs. HazeRed Designs was started in 2010 as a hobby .but is on its way to becoming something bigger and better. We have chosen to make our company a sole proprietorship. Why sole proprietorship, you may ask, because tax liability will be low, we can switch to a partnership or corporation if the company succeeds, and we will not have to worry with having an actual place of business for now, we can still work from our homes! HazeRed Designs is a maker of childrens clothing and hair accessories, military and patriotic accessories such as wallets, the famous ACU pattern purses, and jewelry. All of our products are handcrafted, completely customizable, and already available for purchase on many online stores such as Etsy.com, and campbellyardsales.com. We order all of our supplies...

Task Analysis

...Dianna L. Pittman Jones International University EDU630 Assignment 5.1 "Task analysis for instructional design is a process of analyzing and articulating the kind of learning that you expect the learners to know how to perform". (George Mason University) Although task analysis has been approached from several perspectives, there is one constant among them. Task analysis, at a minimum, assists the instructor or designer to understand the content to be taught. According to George Mason University, (n.d.) instructional designers perform task analysis in order to: * determine the instructional goals and objectives; * define and describe in detail the tasks and sub-tasks that the student will perform; * specify the knowledge type (declarative, structural, and procedural knowledge) that characterize a job or task; * select learning outcomes that are appropriate for instructional development; * prioritize and sequence tasks; * determine instructional activities and strategies that foster learning; * select appropriate media and learning environments; * construct performance assessments and evaluation. Below is a goal analysis I developed to assist learners in understanding the business planning process for a beauty business. Goal: At the end of six weeks, learners will know the main components of a business plan and through the use of business planning software, will develop a business plan that will be used to measure comprehension and be used...
