Tourism in Galway
Galway is the fastest growing and the fourth largest city in the Republic of Ireland and the only city in the province of Connacht in Ireland. The city is located on the west coast of Ireland. The population of Galway City is 72,729 (based on the 2006 census carried out by the CSO), if the current growth rate continues; the population of the city will hit 100,000 by 2020. Galway has a strong local economy with complementary business sectors including manufacturing industry, tourism, retail and distribution, education, healthcare and services that include financial, construction, cultural, and professional.
A total of 5.5 million overseas tourists visited Ireland in 1998.
The typical visitor spends most of his or her budget on food, drink, and accommodation. The rest of the money goes on shopping, sightseeing, entertainment and transport.

Location Advantage

We will set up our business in Barna Road in Woodfield, just beside the lake to make our customers enjoy the nature and feel relax and comfortable.
Too many visitors are attractive to Galway because the beautiful landscape, even more Galway is some of the most popular cities in Ireland that welcome to tourist.
The Jomera Hotel is only minutes far from city center.

Business in Ireland

Ireland is ranked the number 1 place to do business in Europe. (According to IDA Ireland).
If we took a closer look we can recognize that:
Taxes:

People:
Highly skilled and educated workers, youngest workforce in Europe Globally experienced senior management.
Costs:
Increasing cost competitiveness that makes some control by money, even more Ireland has the lowest inflation rate in the EU.
Business environment:
There is a free movement of good sand services in EU, also Ireland consider of English speakers and member of EU/Eurozone.

Competitive analysis

Derryowen Hostel is next to us. But there is no compotation with Hostels, because it’s available for people who want to share their rooms and having no privacy. Actually there is no Hotels in this area only B&B and Hostels which is the same to Derryowen Hostel. This area is perfect to set up a hotel on it because it would attract many people who looking for privacy and have their own rooms in this place.

In the first we will advertise in popular newspapers such like Irishtimes and Irishindependent. We are going to focus in some of social site like Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and some other video-sharing sites such like YouTube because we believe these sites draw attentions in lots of customers especially in Europe.
Even more, the logo of our business can be as important as the name of our hotel, it creates a favorable first impression that is reinforced over time.
After all we believe that we can make some kind of advertising when we treat our customers kindly and softly because it’s necessary when they feel comfortable about our services and if they of course we would get many of new customers by the time.

Transports to Galway

Transport in Ireland has become faster, cheaper and more efficient in recent times.
Flying to/from Galway:
The nearest major airport is Shannon Airport (SNN / EINN). This airport has international flights from Shannon, and is 85 km from the center of Galway. Further more there is so many airports in Ireland like Ireland West Airport Knock, Dublin Airport, and Cork airport.

Intercity bus services to/from Galway:
BusNestor has frequent daily Galway-Dublin service. Also special service to/from Dublin Airport.
And there are some bus stations in Ireland like City Link and Bus Eireann.
Car from Dublin to Galway:
You can come by taxi but it will cost you money.
Or you can rent a car in some many of car hire’s companies like:
Windsor Car Hire, Irish Car Rentals and others.
Train:
The train is the ideal way of traveling from Dublin to Galway. The journey time is about 3 hours.

A formal business plan is necessary to show all interested parties -- employees, investors, partners and yourself -- that you are committed to building the business. 2. To establish business milestones. The business plan should clearly lay out the long-term milestones that are most important to the success of your business. To paraphrase Guy Kawasaki, a milestone is something significant enough to come home and tell your spouse about (without boring him or her to death). Would you tell your spouse that you tweaked the company brochure? Probably not. But you'd certainly share the news that you launched your new website or reached $1M in annual revenues. 3. To better understand your competition. Creating the business plan forces you to analyze the competition. All companies have competition in the form of either direct or indirect competitors, and it is critical to understand your company's competitive advantages. 4. To better understand your customer. Why do they buy when they buy? Why don’t they when they don't? An in-depth customer analysis is essential to an effective business plan and to a successful business. 5. To enunciate previously unstated assumptions. The process of actually writing the business plan helps to bring previously "hidden" assumptions to the foreground. By writing them down and assessing them, you can test them and...
