NATURE OF BUSINESS
Business ideas
Our ideas of setting up this hand-painted shoes business came from one of our directors, Lim Ping Yeng who is particularly fond of designing and drawing. We found that the trend of wearing painted shoes has been emerging in other countries but yet it is still new in the Malaysian market. Malaysian people may perceive readymade shoes as the only option for them when they want to buy shoes and are unaware that there is a “better choice” for them- hand-painted shoes. So, what are hand-painted shoes? They are pure hand-drawn designs canvas shoes, washable and come in color combinations varying according to the designs of shoes. Painted shoes are up to trend and fashionable. It can be easily mixed and matched with different types of clothing such as shorts, skirt, jeans and other casual wears. It also creates sporty and casual look that suits people of different ages. Well-matched, they perfectly reflect a person’s thoughts, personality and style. Unlike readymade shoes, every pair of painted shoes is unique and exclusive whereby it exhibits the translation of one’s ideas into a realistic form.
We proposed to run a hand-painted shoes business because we observed its market potential in Malaysia. By setting up this business, we are able to promote hand-painted shoes widely among Malaysians. We named our company as “Painted Path” to convey the message that we would like to be as a part of our customers’ life journeys. By incorporating elements of color, design and creativity into daily lives, our life journeys are more joyful.

Product Features and Designs
Our shop offers wide range of theme designs such as abstract, black and white, oriental, punk, cartoon and anime. To ease customer selection, we display our ready painted shoes on the racks according to the themes. Customers are able to choose among these designs and try fitting the best shoes’ design that matches their clothing or style. Our shoes are made for males, females and those who love unisex design. One of our special features is that we also produce themed shoes for lovely couples. Customers need not worry of getting tired because adequate comfortable sofas are there to provide customers pleasant shopping experience.
As we strive to offer hand-painted shoes at a fair and affordable price, we set the price based on the complexity of the designs. If the design requires more details to add on and lots of colors have to be used, we may fix the price higher. After all, the ultimate decision falls on the preferences of our valuable customers.
Proper fitting of shoes is crucial to ensure our customers feel comfortable wearing them and helps avoid foot problems such as blisters, aggravate bunions, calluses and corns. Shoes size can varies between brands and thus, we have developed this footwear size conversion chart. Customers are able to identify correctly the size of their shoes and try the best fitting. Usually we use the EUR size for the shoes. Customers could measure and tell us their length of feet. We will check what EUR size that best fits them.

Customization and Services
If customers opt for personalized painted shoes, they can take the role as a designer to create their own shoes based on their creativity. It just requires few simple steps to own a pair of personalized hand-painted shoes. First, they have to choose the color base and type of canvas shoes they want, either with shoelaces or without. Next, they can submit their desired designs to our webpage or through e-mail. They could also drop by our shop and hand in their hardcopy of customized designs. We do merely provide painting services if customers bring their own shoes to the shop. It may take few working days to complete the shoes depends on the customers’ requirements. We hope to incorporate the customers’ ideas and efforts into the making of shoes to inculcate a sense of satisfaction and appreciation. Providing excellent customization services thereby adds values to our business.

We portray our company logo as a shoe lace being tied into a ribbon in which it also depicts a mirror image effect of the letter ‘P’. ‘PP’ is the abbreviation of our company name. The colorful polka dots illustrate the variety of colors and designs that suit different customers’ styles and preferences.

BUSINESS LOCATION

Our shop is located at 27, Dinasti Sentral, Jalan Kuchai Maju 18, Off Jalan Kuchai Lama, 58200 Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur. We choose this location because Kuchai Lama is a busy and strategic town where many business activities take place. The shop is situated right next to the main road and can be easily spotted by potential customers. It is a famous place frequently visited by customers especially females who shop for clothing, shoes and accessories. We discover the lack of shops selling shoes of unique styles. Thus, we believe the penetration of canvas shoes business into the Kuchai area is advantageous and would be well-received by the locals and those that come from other regions. Various banks that surround the shop will ease both customers and our management in daily transactions and business dealings. Furthermore, we have no worry about restocking because our shop is near to our supplier’s location in Bandar Sunway.

...Galura The aim of this study is to describe and identify the most common types of coping strategy used by wives who were affected by the infidelity of their partner. It also sought to provide demographic profiles of these wives. The researchers’ motivation of choosing this topic had been influenced by the everyday situation of people they knew who had experienced being separated to their husbands due to infidelity. Also, the media had contributed to their choice because nowadays, infidelity has been featured to many movies, television shows and social media sites. In this study, the researchers have employed a descriptive design. Gmo Case

...Gmo: the Value Versus Growth Dilemma GMO: The Value Versus Growth Dilemma | 1. What is value investing? What is its rationale? What are GMO’s main arguments in favor of value investing? Value investing is a way of investing in company stocks that are considered either undervalued or out-of-favor by the market. In other word, a value investment is one where the intrinsic value of the stock is not accurately reflected in the current market valuation. The underlying reason of too much decreasing in the stock price is that the company may be losing market shares or even in trouble due to market’s panic attributed to negative rumors as well as having management problems. Since the market price has dramatically descended, the book to market ratio of that stock will conversely increase. Consequently, this fraction is an important indicator that value investors will look at in order to justify if a particular stock is value stock or not. The rationale for investing in such value stock is that after the forces that are depressing the stock have diminished, the market price of value stock can only go upward from the bottom position to realize the stock’s hidden potential value at some point in the future. Notably, the key assumption is that once the market finally acknowledges the inefficiency that the price is too low when compared to the expected future returns, it will bump up the price and the value investors will directly benefit from the capital gain on those value stocks. Basing...
