Cabeza de Vaca’s metaphorical “Nakedness” benefits him in numerous ways. For instance, he was provided with food and shelter by Indians. He was lucky to mingle with many Indians and make a good companion in short period of time that benefits him on his treatment and medicine as needed. Although he was at work, but there were no any restriction on his freedom, like a flying bird. Further, he earns name and fame from this business and travelled where ever he wants. Tremendous support from the Indians and abundant fuel from the trees helps him survive his captivity. In addition, he made cross from a fire, which provides enough faith and safety from his almighty God. His strong religious belief helps him to be contended and feel free from the captivity.
