1. Can’t Stop Coughing

a) She claimed to have had a sore throat, coughing that usually brings up only a small amount of mucus, shortness of breath (which made her decided to go to the ER). b) Her tests showed that she was positive for Influenza A (which is the most common cause of pneumonia in adults), also her x-ray findings stated there were scattered small patches of density shown in the lungs which indicates there was a lot of mucus. c) Ways Evelyn could have prevented getting pneumonia was to get a flu vaccination, wash her hands often, stay away from people who are sick, and to keep her hands away from her face. d) Although antibiotics won’t help treat pneumonia the doctor sent her home with antibiotics to keep the flu virus from spreading in her body. e) The doctor would most likely check and see if Evelyn may have bronchitis or tuberculosis. Why he would check on theses diagnosis is because coughing up blood and a month later still having the same symptoms is not a normal thing.

2. Soccer Cough

Medical tests that helped the doctor confirm that Jeremy has EIA were the spirometry tests and the oximetry tests. b) It is estimated that 80 to 90 percent of all individuals who have allergic asthma will experience symptoms of EIA with vigorous exercise or activity. For teenagers and young adults this is often the most common cause of asthma symptoms. (AAFA, 2005). c) Goals to help EIA are to do a 10-minute warm-up that varies in intensity before you begin regular exercise, if you have allergies, avoid triggers, and exercise regularly to stay in shape and promote good respiratory health. d) AccuNeb 1.25 mg*/3 mL and 0.63 mg*/3 mL Inhalation Solution and Xopenex is supplied in

...Home › Social Awareness › Facts About Sweatshops Facts About Sweatshops BY ENDMODERNSLAVERY - PUBLISHED: 11/24/2013 - SECTION: SOCIAL AWARENESS One of the most galling things about Western culture at the moment is the sense of entitlement. Many of us have government funding for support or hold down full-time jobs. The majority of Western countries have modern human rights laws and will help anybody who is in trouble or distress, within reason. The sense of entitlement leads many of us who have perfectly healthy, enjoyable lives to feel that we are the ones on the end of a hard time from fate. However, have you ever considered the conditions in other parts of the world? You may think you are having a hard time, but when is the last time you were forced to work two or three days in a row? When was the last time you considered how lucky you are to be able to splurge on apair of expensive shoes? One thing you should be thinking about in this situation is where these expensive extras you have are actually coming from. Your clothes tend to be made, wrongly, by sweatshops owned by the huge corporations that you buy from. Those who work in sweatshops are desperately unlucky to have to do so – the rate of pay is pathetic, working conditions tend to be poor, and human rights violations are almost constant. Here are just some facts that you should understand about working in a sweatshop. It may help you create some gratitude for your own lifestyle, or realize just how hard some people...

...THE DIARY OF A YOUNG GIRL : THE DEFINITIVE EDITION Anne Frank Edited by Otto H. Frank and Mirjam Pressler Translated by Susan Massotty -- : -BOOK FLAP Anne Frank's The Diary of a Young Girl is among the most enduring documents of the twentieth century. Since its publication in 1947, it has been read by tens of millions of people all over the world. It remains a beloved and deeply admired testament to the indestructable nature of the human spirit. Restore in this Definitive Edition are diary entries that had been omitted from the original edition. These passages, which constitute 30 percent more material, reinforce the fact that Anne was first and foremost a teenage girl, not a remote and flawless symbol. She fretted about, and tried to copie with, her own emerging sexuality. Like many young girls, she often found herself in disagreement with her mother. And like any teenager, she veered between the carefree nature of a child and the full-fledged sorrow of an adult. Anne emerges more human, more vulnerable, and more vital than ever. Anne Frank and her family, fleeing the horrors of Nazi occupation, hid in the back of an Amsterdam warehouse for two years. She was thirteen when the family went into the Secret Annex, and in these pages she grows to be a young woman and a wise observer of human nature as well. With unusual insight, she reveals the relations between eight people living under extraordinary conditions, facing hunger, the ever-present threat of discovery and death, complete...

The dog was part of it. He wasn't fond of German shepherds, and this one, though he was standing quietly, reminded him of Panther, the police dog that rode with Deputy Kenny Moore and was quick to bite suspects in the crotch at the slightest command. Most of the time he regarded Moore as an idiot, but he was still just about the closest thing to a friend that Clayton had in the department, and he had to admit that Moore had a way of telling those crotch-biting stories that made Clayton double over in laughter. And Moore would definitely have appreciated the little skinny-dipping party Clayton had just broken up, when he'd spied a couple of coeds sunning down by the creek in all their morning glory. He hadn't been there for more than a few minutes and had snapped only a couple...
