Carl Jacobi’s Legacy Mathematics is a diverse and multifaceted entity in the world of academics. There are several mathematicians who have implemented concepts in the institution of Math. German mathematician Carl Gustav J. Jacobi was one major contributor to the analysis of elliptic functions and theories. As a professor at the University of Berlin, he was an inspiration during his time; however, Jacobi went through many trials and tribulations throughout his childhood, education and achievements in his career. Carl Jacobi was born on December 10, 1804 in Potsdam, Germany, and came from a Jewish family.
