An external corporate communication audit requires for corporate communication for developing strategy. Knowledge in communication is required for executives to develop proper communication strategy and determine main issue for developing functions for major public issues. The proper strategy ensures inner messages for communication that perceive intended audience. For developing a corporate communication strategy, organization is not necessary and required to develop process. The productive strategy is affected by the organization as a whole performance evaluation to determine strategic goals. In this case, audit is primarily focused on marketing & branding of Barclay’s and Lehman Corporation and to overcome financial crisis. This will require interacting with the head of marketing of the organization and central marketing personnel . In some cases the unconscious process involves human resources personnel. At the same time we have to identify our external audiences for the audit.
Steps involving External Audit
As a communication consultant, I recommend following steps to conduct external audit for Barclay’s and Lehman Corporation.
1- In this step I would recommend that investigate the company online.

2- To explore all existing media report, message add-in and other places around internet that is related to audit process. This would help us to identify various kinds of issues rather than marketing and finance.

3- Next step is to assemble related document and data. That data from direct audience or customers, paper documents and also electronic sources which are used to collect the related information.

4- Now next one is to prepare a survey for the external audience through questionnaires. There is need to prepare questions based on data and various documents that could have studied earlier as well as there could be used focused groups and interviews to do that. A well-structured external audit creates good communication and customer engagement that evaluate current practices and find out areas of weakness within the company.
In order to determine organizational goals and objectives, the Barclay’s and Lehman Corporation capitalize internal and external communication strategies to help improving current practices.
Through corporate communication, the Barclay’s and Lehman Corporation able to gather information, learn spite for high criticism and determine financial crisis that able to develop high level of practices.
