In today’s society, our world is driven by the fast growing expansion of technology. Social media is no just about sharing photos and opinions. It can help a company grow substantially. It can allow consumers to get educated on their products and serves, promotions on products to consumers, and help develop products and services internally. Social media allows a company to organize and promote discussions internally and to help companies communicate effectively and efficiently. Social media isn’t just used to attract the consumers, but it can now be used to create internal social networks within a company. Social media networks such as Yammer, are used to build problem-solving teams, share information faster, and bring news ideas to the market. Yammer offers that is easy to learn so that their business can continue to communicate and work effectively. Red Robin, the gourmet burger chain has implemented an internal social network that mimics Facebook. This tool is used to team managers all across the country everything they need to know about implementing new items on to the menu. Before social medial, Red Robin had to send out all of its information in written form to over 400 managers across the country. In order to collect their data, executives would have to travel across the country in ore to get feedback on all the changes; this was all done to make sure the customers in those locations were satisfied. At this time, changes would take up to 6 months for them to be implemented. Today, executives can make changes to their menu via the network where they are able to create recipes, menu changes, and even rides to help managers learn which is necessary to implement immediately. They are able to input customer feedback into the system and have direct connection with executives to make those proper decisions. Collaborating with a social media services is effective and necessary in our technology driven world. I do think it would be difficult for a company to survive and stay current without a social media page. Having a social media page shows a consumer that you are interested in their feedback and that you aren’t afraid to connect with the consumers. Companies need to stay current with consumers and social media is a direct connection that can link any company with the consumers. Social media is also a free advertising network. What could be better? It is free advertising!

The three major sections of a cash budget are cash receipts, cash disbursement, and financing. A cash receipt includes cash collections from customers; sales to customers, collecting on credit sales, interest made, etc. Cash disbursement is considered anything that is expected to be paid; administrative expenses, inventory purchases, taxes, etc. Financing is the part of the cash budget that is needed in case of a cash deficiency. If a cash budget falls short, the company can borrow money to make up for that amount.
