Today all the Mirabal sisters are honored and recognized as heroines in the Dominican Republic for exposing Rafael Trujillo true colors. He was a cold person who thought that everything was on his time. He also thought that he could make everyone like him and do what he said, but little did he know that he was going to meet a person that change all that and lead to his death six months after the girls died. Minerva is the one who went against Trujillo she saw what he was doing wrong and she wanted people to know that he is not the leader that they think he is. Maria Teresa is the youngest sister she is the innocent in the whole thing cause she looked up to her sister and she will do anything that they do she is lost in the world not knowing how to make her own decision. She was really a shy girl she even cried when people took her journal, so therefore she really didn’t know what she was getting herself into at the moment until they went to jail.
