Charles Manson is a well known American serial killer who was found not guilty of committing his crimes, but had other people do his commit his illegal acts for him. The result of Manson’s heinous misconducts was nine life sentences in a California prison. In 1971, he was seen before a court and offered paroled after seven years of being incarcerated. His first parole offering was in 1978, but was rejected. In 2012, he was rejected parole for the twelfth time. It is said that he will not receive parole again until 2027, when he is 92 years old. In my personal opinion, I do not think that he should be offered parole, nor be able to talk to any outside contacts.

The Manson Family was a cult that was founded in San Francisco in 1967. The group’s theme revolved around scientology, satanism, and other beliefs as well. The cult’s practices began when Manson developed the idea that there would be a race war in our country. This war would be called, “Helter Skelter.” This would consist of African Americans winning the war, but would turn to the whites for leadership. The following day, Manson had heard about the details of the crime scene and was thoroughly displeased with how his followers had haphazardly murdered everyone in the house, potentially leaving evidence that they had been the ones who had done it. Charles then accompanied six of the family members to the house of Leno Labianca and his wife Rosemary. Tex Watson, one of the Manson Family members, and Manson woke up Leno and told him that he was not going to be harmed, and that they were there to rob him. They then asked him if there was anyone else in the house, and he informed them that his wife Rosemary was in their bedroom. They brought his wife downstairs, tied them both up, then proceeded to take everything valuable in the house and murdered both of them. Within a few months, Susan Atkins, a family member who had been arrested and charged for the murder of Gary Hinman, had confessed to a fellow inmate that she and the rest of the Manson Family had been responsible for the Tate murders, her reasoning being, “Because we wanted to do a crime that would shock the world, that the world would
