The first island which he founded he named it “San Salvador,” in remembrance of the Divine Majesty, the second, he named the island “Santa Maria de Concepcion,” the third, “Fernandina,” the fourth, “Isabella,” the fifth island, “Juana,” and so each received from me a new name.
