Santana Shooter

On Monday, March 5th 2001 15 year old Charles Andrew Williams opened fire at Santana High School in Santee, California. His weapon being a .22 caliber he killed two and injured thirteen. It was said that he was a victim of school bullying. On June 20, 2002, Williams pleaded guilty to all charges. August 15, 2002, Williams was sentenced as an adult, to 50-years to life in prison, and ordered him to serve his time in the Youth Offender Program until he is 18. After, he would be transferred to adult prison. Williams was given credit for the days that he had served in juvenile detention, then fined $10,000.00 and ordered to pay restitution. On March 1, 2004, he was transferred to an adult prison. There are also attempts being made to appeal his sentencing.

12 Year Old Murderer

12 year old Christian Fernandez was charged as an adult for the murder of his 2 year old half-brother, David. March 14, 2011 Christian continually beat David until he was dead. The whole family has issues. His mother had him when she was 12 as a result to an aggravated sexual assault. Both of Christian and his mom was entered into the system when he was 2 and she was 14 when Miami authorities found him outside naked in front of a motel while his grandmother was getting a drug fix inside. He saw his stepfather commit suicide in front of him. The mother tried to escape the series of unfortunate events and moved to Jacksonville but that clearly did not work. Sentence is still pending.
