It starts from the moment a patient picks up the phone to make an appointment and even something as subtle as stopping to give directions to a patient can significantly improve their day. The culture at the hospital was entirely focused on patients, and every employee was a part of that environment in some way. While I graduated with a degree in Molecular Genetics, I also came away with a changed perspective on what it meant to work in a healthcare setting.
