Junnie Clercin Mr. Johnson The social science approach is a set of beliefs that describes the aim of communication research was to describe, predict, and explain human behavior with the ultimate goal of discovering universal laws that apply across situations and contexts. With the assumptions orienting toward behavior they believed that the “aim of communication research was to describe, predict, and explain human behavior with the ultimate goal of discovering universal laws that apply across situations and contexts.
I think the social science contemporary approach to communication is being used in these theories.

A lot of the studies that are being done were based on the mental and social health of the people. Elderly people’s minds do a lot of changing in their life times and it is extremely usual for them to go up and down on a scale. The study points out that elderly people have to deal with long term issues with sicknesses and condition. The social sciences are academic disciplines concerned with the study of the social life of human groups and individuals including anthropology, economics, geography, political science, psychology, history, social studies, and sociology.

I believe that Social Science approached was used to communicate in this abstract because the different studies were based on either the husband or the wife. The social science approach in communication concentrates on the individual and not the pair. Early researchers were behaviorism oriented, which only focus on behavior of science. Now they are fixated more on the casualty in finding what issues effect
