...September 2015 The Freshman Guide to College Survival To all current and future seniors, what are your plans after high school? Going to college? Ok, and what do you expect to get out of college? You probably think you know what differentiates high school from college but, I can assure you that you have no idea. From living situations to time management, college is different roller coaster but, it is on your shoulders on how you handle it. This transition is not going to be easy to deal with, for you nor your parents. Most freshmen can handle themselves for the first couple of days while others are already calling on the first night for the first flight back home. Now at this point you might be thinking "Where will I go?", "What should I wear?", "Will people like me?” etc. but, in reality none of that matters. There are more than a dozen rules in which you may need to actually survive your freshman year of college but, the two factors in which you’ll need the most guidance from is the Freshman Facebook page and roommates. Before you pack up almost everything that you own: clothes, shoes, and photos of everybody you know… one of the first things you’ll likely do after enrolling in school is join the Freshman Facebook Page for your class. The man evolves throughout the story, and quickly takes the name Mark Jacobs. Teaches you how to make supplies, warning signs of situations, and what to avoid. The conflict of the story is that a zombie apocalypse breaks out, and this book helps you to survive. And this book is a list of do’s and don’ts. Everyone needs to know how to preserve, prepare, and execute; whether it’s zombies, dogs, or people. No one knows what can happen so saing there is no such thing and I don’t need to prepare are vital life changing mistakes. What happens if you wreck your car in the middle of nowhere and you have no knowledge of what to do? On top of that creative differences between director Marc Foster and main actor/producer Brad Pitt would eventually cause the movie to come out half a year late. Whatever the rumors may have been, the result is not bad at all. The movie is immediately off to a very fast start, within 5 minutes all hell breaks loose. Before that we are introduced to Gary (Brad Pitt) who is a former UN-employee who quit working to spend more time with his family. He travels to Philadelphia where, while waiting for heavy traffic, a huge zombie outbreak takes place out of nowhere. Hundreds of people attack each other and then arise from the death, off course this is answered with huge panic from surrounding people.
