...Riordan Manufacturing Management and Communication Plan Riordan Manufacturing does not have a defined management and communication plan in place. The plan also includes a strategy to implement the changes, determine how to evaluate the success or failure of the new plan, define the most appropriate communication channel to advise employees of the new change, define potential barriers to effective communicate the change, and how to overcome these barriers if they do occur. Demonstrative Communicatin Paper

...Demonstrative Communications According to the research, “non-verbal behaviors account for 65% to 93% of the total meaning of communication (Birdwhistell, 1970; Hickson, Stacks & Moore, 2004; Meharbian, 1981). Our communication comprises of three components: spoken words, non-verbal and tone of voice. Spoken words that are coming out of our mouth is 7%, non-verbal is 55% that is through body language , gestures and facial expressions and tone of voice is 38% that is the sound. A communication skill involves the three components, so delivering a message to the audience vocally needs to be congruent to the body language and tone of voice to persuade the audience. For example, if someone is asking you a question and you answered it confidently but your body language shows differently, it could send mix messages to the listener. For this mismatch communication, you can lose credibility to your listener. Demonstrative communication is a type of non-verbal communication that deals with different type of communication without words between sender and receiver. Non-verbal communication can be conveyed through but not limited to posture, gesture, facial expressions, tone of voice, eye contact and clothing. Demonstrative communication observes this non-verbal cues in order to tell if the listener is interested, engaged, confused or listening. Learning teams are made up of diverse individuals. To maintain productivity, each member of a learning team should know the characteristics of each learning style and personality type. According to my assessment from highest to lowest, my learning styles are: verbal/linguistic, intrapersonal, and naturalistic. My personality types are: organizer, giver, and thinker. Since I have learned my own learning styles and personality types, I have the ability to relate and understand individuals that have different learning styles and personality types. In this paper, I will discuss my strategies of communicating and collaborating with others and the benefits of having diversity in a learning team. My first learning style is verbal/linguistic. This learning style enables me the opportunity to communicate through language. I use my sense of humor to learn as well as assist others in learning. My second learning style is intrapersonal. I have always been the type of person that was aware of my feelings and have never had a problem expressing myself. At times, I can be very stubborn, but I always try to put others needs before my own needs. Many times, I am also known to seek higher levels than the average person. The last learning style is naturalistic...

Personal Communicatin and Life Skills Assessment Essay

...Rybecca Ruffin HD 205 Section 1 9/9/14 Communication is such an important part of everyday life, and is used in literally every situation you could think of. We use communication in almost every aspect of our everyday lives, with family, friends, acquaintances, professors, strangers, and even animals. Without communication, it would be hard to get very far in life, let alone even get through a regular day. It is how we express our needs and concerns, how we understand what others are saying, and how we discuss things. When it comes to communicating with other people, everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses, things they can teach others, and things they would like to improve on. Communication is a way to listen to others thoughts and ideas, as well as express your own. Because of this, it comes in handy that my greatest strength in communication is that I am not afraid to be completely myself, and I encourage other people to be themselves also. I like who I am and I think that it is okay to be proud of your ideas and to want to share them with others. I am not ashamed of my own opinion, and I am also comfortable enough with myself and my views to be open-minded towards other people’s views. I like to hear other people’s points of view, as I feel that it can make you a more knowledgeable, cultured person, and to think that your point of view is the only correct one is ignorant. Along with being non-judgmental towards others, I feel that it is very important to always...

We recognise that in this increasingly competitive world, we need to equip our young people with an understanding of the basics in life as early as we can, as businesses both large and small cannot afford to recruit staff who are unprepared for their start in the world of work. The lessons contained in this publication can be supplemented with many of the free resources available from our Learning and Skills website at www.bt.com/freeresources 02 Personal Skills Journey Foreword Welcome to your Personal Skills Journey Workbook! You will use this workbook as a journal throughout the year to evaluate and record your personal skills journey. These skills are SOFT skills – this means that there is no one test that will demonstrate if you have them or not. Assessing your personal skills is different to assessing your verbal or numerical skills or your ability in science – there are no right and wrong answers so soft skills are harder to measure. Some people will be very good in one area and need to improve in other areas. The aim of this workbook is to help you decide what skills are your strengths (what you are good at) or your weaknesses – the skills that you will need to practice in order to become better at them...
