The ideas of tsarism and the marxist ideas of the revolutionary leaders are the complete opposite of each other and cannot exist within the same society. It is evident within the Russian Revolution that both ideas of Tsarism and Communism cannot exist within the same society as a ‘one person rule’ (tsarism) versus the ‘community owning and controlling industry, land and other means of production as a whole’ completely oppose one another.

Marx and Engles looked for a communist system where the wealth was distributed evenly. They wanted the masses of people to all enjoy equality in a socialist system. This idea can only be implemented however through a ‘classless utopia’. By creating a society in which ruling classes and the notion of ‘class’ in general is abolished, it is obvious that the idea of Tsarism cannot remain in the same society as that of communism. Having a classless society means that the concept of tsarism can no longer exist, as a tsarist social system thrived on heavily entrenched class divisions, and encouraged and relied upon privilege to survive. Therefore by removing class distinctions from within a society allow communism to exist without any opposition.

Tsarism and Marxism, two fundamentally opposed ideas, cannot exist within the same society. In a society where two fundamentally different ideals are present – Marxism and tsarism – conflict is bound to occur. A classless utopia cannot be achieved if there is a tightly knit core leadership group: a “class” in and of itself.
And while a classless utopia may try to be achieved, it cannot properly occur while a social class distinctions still
