With many new forms of technology appearing in the world, it has become a complex task of choosing what new gadget is right for the owner. In today’s economy the cheaper option is not always the better option, but rather a modernly priced product that will do its job and do it for a while. This criteria best applies itself to when buying a computer. There are two main types of computers: a Macintosh (Mac) or a PC. Both are great for different reasons, but the main ways that Mac differs from a PC is that Mac’s are much more expensive, they tend to reflect malware and viruses and that a Mac offers less of a choice than PC. If most people were given the option to buy a Mac or buy a PC, mostly everyone would purchase the Mac. The Macintosh system is great, but it is rather expensive. Macs is noticeably much more expensive than PCs. The lightweight MacBook Air laptop is Apple's cheapest and most basic MacBook, starting at about nine hundred and fifty. The average Windows laptop costs around five hundred dollars, but some Windows ten laptops can be purchased for around one hundred and seventy-five dollars, now keep in mind the basic windows ten laptop is a PC and is great for …show more content…
No piece of information is technically “safe”, but some computers are better at avoiding virus than others. Since there are fewer Macs in the world then PC’s, Apple's platform presents a smaller range for hackers. But that will not last for too long. There are an increasing number of viruses that have surfaced on Mac computers in past years. Apple also says it has added new types of encryption and security features in the recent IOS update to keep all mac computers safe, While PC on the other hand can obtain multiple viruses daily. Since Windows computers are more heavily used to support servers and run data systems, viruses tend to invade those systems more

Google Drive vs Dropbox

...Google Drive vs. Dropbox Inc. ENGL101-1402A-03 April 23, 2014 Google Drive vs. Dropbox Inc. Being in college or any higher learning institute is a task all in itself. It doesn’t really matter what level we're at whether it’s undergraduate or going for our masters or doctorate. Being a student of any sort usually consumes our life and most of our time. Take for example, the essay. Whether it’s for research, compare and contrast, problem and solution or your standard narrative essay, we often are utilizing various files and resources to complete our required tasks. Many of us already have jobs and families that consume our lives, and that can take away from our academic responsibilities. This can be a difficult thing to juggle, but what if you could have your files, content, personal documents, movies, and etc. everywhere and accessible all the time. I am talking about cloud storage and its limitless potential to make our lives as seamless as possible. There are two really big names in the cloud storage industry such as Google’s Drive, and Dropbox file storage but which one is for you? Both Google Drive and Dropbox make excellent choices for cloud storage, but deciding which is best depends on your lifestyle, your finances, and your preference in features. Of the many services and apps that Google provides, Drive is arguably the best service it provides, well outside of Gmail. Having a Google account automatically gives you 15GB of free cloud storage. All of Google’s services...

...Monograph on the Apple Business Model @2003 Introduction. In 1984, Apple and the Macintosh challenged the world with the dramatic portrayal of a revolutionary woman hurling a hammer at an image of the establishment. With the Twentieth Anniversary of that event approaching, now is a good time to take a look back at this revolution and take stock of the new revolution that the Mac OS X operating system offers. Despite Time Magazine's 80 Days That Changed The World, it would appear that Apple doesn't get much credit for the revolution it sparked in personal computing. As the leading innovator in the computer market, and with a balance sheet holding of four billion in cash, neither its stock value nor its market share is very high. Every few months or so, a journalist reports on impending trouble for Apple Computer. Part of the reason for this negative press is that its main competitor has a 95% market share and billions more in cash. By any other standards, Apple would be judged to be an astonishing success, but a bigger question remains: Why is the Apple market share so small when it has a superior product? Blaming Microsoft for the 'ills' of Apple really misses the point. Both companies were formed early in the computer age, both had product, innovation and opportunity at a critical time, but their history is vastly different. Apple's small market share must be the result of its business model. While the business model has failed the aspirations of the Macintosh Revolution...

...particular society and culture in which he or she has lived. In particular, attitudes, values, and beliefs can vary significantly from country to country. Also, differences pertaining to religion, aesthetics, dietary customs, and language and communication can affect local reaction to brands or products as well as the ability of company personnel to function effectively in different cultures. A number of concepts and theoretical frameworks provide insights into these and other cultural issues. Cultures can be classified as high- or low-context; communication and negotiation styles can differ from country to country. Hofstede’s social value typology sheds light on national cultures in terms of power distance, individualism vs. collectivism, masculinity vs. femininity, uncertainty avoidance, and long- versus short-term orientation. Rogers’ classic study on the diffusion of innovations helps explain how products are adopted over time by different adopter categories. The adoption process that consumer go through can be divided into multi-stage hierarchy of effects. Rogers’ findings concerning the characteristics of innovations can also help marketers successfully launch new products in global markets. Recent research has suggested that Asian adopter categories differ from the Western model. An...
