While both McGinn’s and Judaism’s position on animal treatment are both considered humane, there reasons for their treatment are different. When describing McGinn’s argument for animal treatment he based his ideas as trying to focus on not treating animals like we would inanimate objects. When discussing how the Jewish community believes in animal treatment they perceive that how one would treat an animal is the same way they would treat any person. When thinking about Judaism’s outlook on animal treatment reminded me of a quote by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe “You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him”, when reading this it emphasizes that how we treat things that no negative effect to us define
