Rottmann, Sacks, and Reeve (2015) uses comparative analysis of qualitative data, which they collected through nine focus groups and seven interviews. Beck (2014) utilize a mixed methods methodology to try and determine what predicts servant leadership behaviors. This research was conducted because one of the major problems with servant leadership is the lack of empirical research conducted in this area. The mixed method research model was used because the researcher did not believe that only a qualitative or quantitative research study would give a complete picture of the topic.
