Aims and Intentions
In the short stories “Lessons in Love” and “The Bass, the River and Sheila Mant”, both of the authors employ characters who are chased by short sighted protagonists. Even though love plays a key role in the texts, it doesn’t blind or bind the characters being chased like the protagonists. This is caused by the alternate goals the pursued seek to enjoy.
