Both books “They called us Enemy” and “Farewell to Manazar” are both autobiographies of people who survived the prison camps of 1941 after Pear Harbor was attacked. A key difference between the two novels is that “They Called us Enemy” is a graphic novel and “Farewell to Manazar” is a memoir. This changes the way the reader thinks about and reads each of the books because of the drastic difference in style of the novel.
